Dr. Polly Jeanne Schmidt

Great doctor to me always. But now the big mystery is where has she gone? Would love to continue to have her treat me and my family. We all trust her opinion and have felt well cared for.

I went in to see her and to my surprise, she had an "Early Retirement". I felt as a patient, I should have been notified that she was no longer there at that clinic.

Excellent physician.

Went to this Doctor complaining of symptoms all related to an autoimmune disorder. I wanted a full physical She said I have pink eye and need to see a foot doctor. She gave me the impression she could careless and sent me on my way. I explain my symptoms to my Gynocolgist, he sent me to a rheumatogist. I do have an autoimmune disease. Save yourself suffering and see someone who cares.

Went to this doc complaining of heart related problems..ordered the minimum (halter monitor) and no other tests. I have a family history ,very bad sleep apnea, and I am overweight, nothing further was done when the heart monitor didnt catch anything. I have a history of anxiety disorder..complained about the meds as they were not effective and causing weight gain...she would not prescribe anything and sent me along on a expensive psychiatry route, probably better as she seems to be suspicious that I may be a drug seeker, which I am not. I am switching to another clinic, wishing I did not have an HMO as they seem to attract poor service and suspicious Docs.

I have been to almost all the doctors in this clinic and she is, by far, the worst. I walked in complaining of kidney and bladder infection symptoms (including the urgency to urinate sensation), and she does a urinalysis and says it's clean, and, because of the associated back pain and abdominal pain that was shooting down my leg, orders expensive back xrays (which my insurance wont cover) even though she later suggests that they were unnnecessary and were ordered simply to rule out what she didn't even suspect I had. She suggested physical therapy that I can't afford and sends me on my way, in pain, without any medication, and without ever addressing the "sensation" I had previously mentioned. I later called to request a prescription from Kroger's $4 or $10 generic list, since I have no prescription coverage on my insurance, and she prescribes me some variation of Naproxen, which I've already taken and found to be ineffective, and when I suggested Flexeril, a muscle relaxer, she… denies it and prescribes Motrin 800 saying that is all she will do. I didn't have to go to the doctor to get a prescription for Motrin when I can find it anywhere without ever having had to pay for five unnecessary back xrays. I had given her a list of medications I have taken and found to me ineffective, and so she gives me one such medication anyway. She doesn't listen, doesn't care to listen, doesn't care to address the cause of the injury and simply states my "weight" as the reason. I've spoken to a few of her ex-patients as well, who are heavyset and they received the same kind of dismissive treatment as well. I am leaving the service of that clinic all together because of HER service. Completely awful.
