Dr. Pon-Sang Chan, MD

I have been a nurse for over 40 years and I have met many MDs. Dr Chan is one of the best in the entire nation who has received many awards including charities organizations. He has a big heart for everyone he knows. He does not like dishonest patients or people though. He tries even to help them to change even though that is not his job as their doctors.

He complained that I only come in once a year for a physical. So he ordered an ecko that I didn't need, and treated me for an infection that I didn't have. He complained that he does't have as many patients as he once did.

The staff here is very rude. I have come here with my grandparents several times and everytime we walk in the staff is speaking Filipino and will ignore you until you say something first. One time I had to come in to pick up a medication for my grandma. Something about how theres something wrong with the insurance and Dr. Chan and his staff have been "working on it" for over 6 months. The staff was rude as usual and when I told them I was in a hurry, one of the staff members had the nerve to say I shouldn't be rude when getting free stuff. I will never bring my grandparents back here. Also if you see Dr. Chan or take ur loved ones there, prepare to see him once a month as he will always find something wrong that will require some labs done and need you to come back in a couple weeks. Also make sure you know appointments are always tentative as it is very common to receive a call from the staff days before the appointment telling you that their office will be closed that day and they… need to reschedule.

Dr Chan works extremely hard for saving his patients' lives. My whole family goes to see him. He is very warm hearted and loving. Always answers you questions and never failed to refer you to another specialist if needed or requested.He is extremely knowledgeable and is highly respected by other physicians and by the society.
