This person ruined my life. Prior to my breast reduction, I had a standard checkup to be approved for the surgery. My blood pressure was high & I feared this would prevent me from having the surgery. First we were going to try blood pressure medication. Then I asked if it could be from my ADHD meds, which was new to my system. She said no & that she wanted to keep me on it. Instead suggested we switch my anxiety medication that I had been on for 3 years. She took me off cold turkey & changed my med. This heightened my blood pressure & resulted in the worst mental health state I’d ever experienced. The surgery was canceled due to changing medication less than 6 weeks of surgery, not the blood pressure. A year later, I had to find a new surgeon and finally had the surgery, which resulted in severe complications. I told her I wanted to die from depression from the complications. Her response was “you consented” I did not go to med school and looked to her for her expertise.
