Dr. Poornima Chadalawada, MD

I was recently under the care of Dr. Chadalawada at Medical City of Lewisville where I underwent a procedure to treat an injury as a result from complications of a prior trauma. During my stay while admitted to the hospital, she was very attentive and expressly annotated an interest in my immediate needs and even those following my discharge. Following the surgery performed by Surgeon Flowers, my elected pain management and accompanying medication was discussed and after an in-depth Conversation discussing all pharmaceutical options, it was decided that I would come in through the use of a particular medication. Prior to this discussion, the doctor took the initiative to prescribe a much weaker medication and once I noticed this— I brought this up to the other hospital staff and ultimately, I was assured that the doctor had modified my discharge Orders and that I basically just needed to disregard that which was listed on my discharge paperwork. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of… trusting this and I even went so far as to pick up my prescriptions that were called in for me and didn’t even bother to look at the bottle until now, very late at night.. because I am in excruciating pain. After examining my prescription bottle, I realize why I am in pain and it is because this correction was never made. Not only am I experiencing a great deal of pain because I received a very weak pain medication, but I am also being forced to inconvenience my immediate family (Who have taken off work to help me) because I cannot seem to get the home health agency to even pick up the phone and call me or answer my calls, let alone actually show up for me. I would like to chalk the whole thing up to a great miscommunication, but I feel that does not even begin to cover it as I have spent each day since my discharge on the phone trying to handle the rest of my recovery. This was all supposed to be done already for me and I really don’t know what to do.

Dr. Chadalawada explained everything going on and how to treat problem in a very informative and courteous manner. Such a nice person besides what she had to tell us. Answered all our questions . We would recommend her to anyone needing her for treatment.

I saw Dr Chadalawada in TRMC hospital in Sunnyvale.She took care of my father there.Very attentive to details of the patient as well as the family. Spent time explaining about my fathers condition in detail as well as what we should expect during his hospital stay We are very pleased with her and would recommend her to family and friends. I wish she had a office to see the patients
