She gave a poor prognosis of my daughter not based on my daughter's individual care plan. My daughter was born premature with Trisomy 18 and she could only tolerate my breast milk. The one day I was late getting to the NICu the nurse had given her formula. My daughter had gastritis and immediately Dr. Muthappa called for an ethics meeting and made my daughter a DNR. That means do not resuscitate. Once my daughter stopped all formula out she was fine her nasal cannula for oxygen was even removed because since she was premature and small the tubes were blocking her oxygen intake. She seemed my daughter's life futile. That was 2011 it is 2018 my daughter is 7 living, growing and thriving and has traveled the world. She may have some medical issues but has recovered from them all because I chose not listen to Dr. Muthappa' s advice of not to ever bring my daughter to an emergency room but to let her just die.
