Doesn’t have the best bedside manners. I felt rushed at my appointment, which ran 40 minutes late. She didn’t follow up on questions that I asked. My overall feeling was that she was rushed and overwhelmed with work. I don’t think she’s a bad doctor, just lacking in time management.

Dr Markwell is one of the sharpest docs I’ve encountered, especially with 16 of MS treatment under my belt. I’m a critical thinking patient who does research, has no issue with asking questions; Dr Markwell had an astute and educated response for every inquiry and gave informed feedback I’d not known. I’m not sure why folks have marked one star, except that maybe they misunderstood the rating? Noticed the post supporting Dr Markwell ans figured to drop a good word myself. In fact, I found this page seeking her bio for a good friend who’s looking for such a specialist. PS The Ochsner docs/ system is one that leads and should be studied and used as a model for Louisiana, for the USA.

Dr. Markwell was ver compassionate. She listened to every single concern I had and spent a substantial amount of time with me. I felt heard and understood, which is very refreshing with doctors these days. Not sure why there are bad reviews for her. She thought outside of the box (as all who practice medine should do). I have been to many doctors over the last couple of years and my visit with her is definitely on the top of my list for quality care.
