Dr Pragnesh Patel is amazing. If you put in the time and want to get better, he will do whatever he can to help. I never feel rushed at my appointments, and he always includes me in the medical decisions. He also works in some local inpatient hospitals. So, if you do have to be hospitalized for your mental health, if you go to one of his hospitals, you can have continuity of care

There are a lot of things I would like to say and exactly what happened w/ my last experience and details but it's too much. I have bipolar 2 and PTSD. I was a patient up until a few days ago. Basically even w/ his notes he does not remember the previous appointments or at least what the patient had discussed. I have been on medication for depression and then bipolar for 25 years. He does not want to be questioned or have much discussion about the patients prior experiences and what may or may not work. He does not seem to be qualified in treating more complex disorders. And for a struggling patient to leave an office not only without help they needed but more distraut because of the words and treatment from a psychiatrist of all people is unacceptable. Can be emotionless and cold and unproffesional apparently when his regimen or medication selections are questioned.

I set up my follow-up appointment a month ago for today at 4:30. Yesterday nobody called to confirm the appointment so I called them and they asked me to come in earlier. I said I would try to make it by 4pm. Rushed there today and made it by 4:15 to find a locked door and lights out. No phone call even to see where I was and if I was on my way. Given my appointment was technically at 4:30, I am really upset. I tried to call the office number and an automated answering service states that somebody will answer during business hours, which are until 5pm. However not only can I not speak to a human, there's nowhere to leave a voicemail. It's a shame because the doctor is nice, but this is unacceptable
