Dr. Pragya Virendrakumar Jain, MD

I completed my medical graduation and training in an anatomic pathology/hematopathology program in India. I acquired one year of work experience as pathology faculty in Mumbai, India. Thereafter, I moved to the US and completed my pathology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. My professional interests include surgical pathology including women's health (breast and gynecologic pathology), gastrointestinal pathology and genitourinary pathology. I do enjoy working on research projects and presenting the work at national conferences. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, painting, and travelling. I enjoy being an active mom and family time is my favorite time!I am extremely passionate about my work and give top priority to early diagnosis and good patient management. I am a strong believer of preventive medicine and highly recommend screening techniques like Pap tests, mammography, and colonoscopy. Being diagnosed with cancer can be scary and depressive. To all those fighting …cancer out there, with the teamwork of your oncologist, onco-surgeon, pathologist, and most importantly yourself, we will fight it till the end!
