Dr. Prameet Jagdish Bhushan, MD

He was FAR too personally interested ! Very inappropriate personal interaction that could only be appreciated after the fact. He does NOT understand personal boundaries or betrayal bonds! Please find anyone else, even given the paucity of psychiatrists in the Chattanooga area. Better go a long way away than to to to Bhushan.

I've been seeing Dr. Bhushan for 3 years now, monthly. I was referred to him by my GP after my therapist suggested I see a psychiatrist. Dr. Bhushan is very caring and informative. He was able to correctly diagnose me, of course it took months to find the correct "cocktail" of medicines to help me but he was patient and kind. He listens to what I say and what I want without pushing anything I don't want. With my mental illness, I will need to be on medicine all my life and I expect to stay with Dr. Bhushan for as long as he's practicing in Chattanooga. The only con is that it's impossible to get a hold of him on the phone. Don't expect returned phone calls. :)

I was originally seeing another psychiatrist at Behavioral Health Associates, but he took a job elsewhere, and I was transferred to Dr Bhushan. On our appointment, he talked with me about my medications and my life. He had already read my entire (6 year) file, and we talked about several things I had been addressing with his predecessor. Unlike his predecessor, who had been dancing around my symptoms of fatigue and problems concentrating, Dr. Bhushan addressed them in the first visit. I've been seeing Dr. Bhushan for 2 years now, I seldom have to wait long before the appointments. He takes time out to help me attain medications that I otherwise could not afford. He's a great psychiatrist, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

I have been going to see this fellow for depression. He doesn't seem that interested in me, personally. He just wants to dispense pills and move on. If you have a problem with his latest round of pills, good luck, this man does not return phone calls or show any interest. I had terrible side-effects from the last medication ans it took over a week to get some response out of this office. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I would recommend you do the same.

Books appointments every 20 minutes only because that's all insurance will pay for. Soooo if you really need a doctor with bedside manner then HE IS NOT for you.

Dr. Bhushan goes above and beyond to help his patients. He stayed after hours with me to help me through an emergency and has given up his lunch hour to give me extra time. He checks on me during the week and weekends, is compassionate, knowledgeable, and his cognitive behavioral strategies are helping me learn to cope, which is so much better than just being given a prescription, which only treats the symptoms, not the disorder. I have the highest regard for Dr. Bhushan and recommend him without reservation.

I'm new to Dr. Bhushan but I like him. He's professional as well as compassionate which is rare to find these days.
