Opportunistic billing practices in my experience.

I lost a filling, and called 3 different dentists. Dr. Kumar's Office was the only one who called me back in a very timely manner. (One of the dentists office called me a week later!) The filling that I lost was large, so I was concerned that the tooth may crack if not repaired quickly, and really did not want to deal with food getting caught in the crevice. Her office worked me into the end of that very day because they knew I was concerned. I was her last patient of the day and I got in at the scheduled time. Dr. Kumar took a great deal of time explaining the procedure she would administer. I like a Doctor, who can also be a teacher to the layperson. My tooth was fixed, well. They called and asked how I was doing the next day. The office staff is kind and efficient. We travel about half of the year. She gave me photocopies of my X-rays so that I could have them for the times of year that I travel. I call that thorough, complete care. I found Dr. Kumar to be a highly… competent Dentist, and a compassionate, bright woman. I will continue to go to Dr. Kumar with confidence that I am getting the best care possible. She is also very convenient to get to, with plenty of parking. Her staff seems to be carefully chosen, and make a patient feel 'at home'. Kat Benoy

I went to Dr. Kumar for a crown treatment about 2 years ago. I hate to write bad reviews which is why this has taken me so long. She was very kind, friendly, and the service was welcoming. However, she failed to give me sound advice as a doctor as I do not believe that she was prepared or comfortable in giving this procedure. I feel that she welcomed me as a patient to add something to her experiences rather than because she would do a decent job. The crown was placed on my front tooth and it was already a very emotionally difficult situation for me as a patient. Dr. Kumar failed to give sound medical advice and should have referred me to a more experienced professional. Instead, now I have an off colored and crooked front tooth. I need to have another surgery in attempt to have a normal smile one day. VERY DISAPPOINTED. :(
