Dr. Pranita Amol Nirgudkar, MD

Very disappointed with this Doctor. She was dismissive of our questions and didn't seem to know why we were there. She focused on my wife's blood pressure, which is normal. She never once talked about our baby (the reason we were there due to neonatal blood testing). When I asked questions about the baby she was dismissive and didn't seem to know anything about him as if she didn't even read the file. Also didn't seem to know how to use the ultra sound machine. If you can AVOID this Doctor (if you can call her that) and find someone else to go to.

If I could leave negative stars for this doctor I would. I was a high risk pregnancy and was currently having heart rate spikes, breathing difficulties, near fainting episodes, and extreme pelvic pain. I was also on beta blockers and the baby’s growth was suppose to be monitored throughout the pregnancy. My current doctors wanted me to get an ultrasound but there were no openings in the Atlanta office so they sent me to Forsyth. This doctor came in and asked why I was there and that she was NOT my doctor. She elated to the fact that my symptoms were in my head and not affecting the health of me or my baby. She did not take or check my vitals nor did she perform the ultrasound. She made me feel so bad about myself that my mother and I left the appointment crying. I was depressed, hopeless, and scared because I knew in my gut that something was terribly wrong. This doctor made the experience so traumatizing and made me feel so alone. A couple days later I went into preterm labor and they… ended up doing a c section. They discovered a uterine window and that my uterus was close to rupturing and would have if I had tried to deliver vaginally. Those doctors saved my life along with the life of my baby that day. ALWAYS TRUST TOUR INSTINCTS. I wish this doctor had taken me seriously that day. I am so traumatized that I unfortunately am not going to have any more children. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did with this doctor. The gross negligence is scary and a glimpse at pregnancy care in America today. Never let anyone make you feel so low and terrible about yourself. Stay true to your gut and stay away from this doctor.

First, I wait forever for this doctor. And the office looks empty, so I have no idea why I'm waiting so long. Second, she looks as though she's never seen used an ultrasound machine in her life. She couldn't identify or see a lot of my babies body parts. She couldn't even tell me whether my babies left kidney was there or not. Then she insisted it must be not there since she couldn't see it, after she first said maybe a cyst or something was blocking it. She stated that we could have an MRI to get further information. When I asked about scheduling the MRI she said it was too early to schedule. But why would it be too early if you're sure the kidney isn't where it is suppose to be and you think its a pelvic kidney? Then when she spoke to my OB after I complained to the OB and said I was never going back to her, she flat out lied to the OB and said she suggested we get an MRI. No you did not, you said it was too soon for an MRI and I should come back in 2 weeks and maybe you could… see more then. This doctor is incompetent and doesn't tell the truth. She will have you very upset because you will leave the office uncertain about the health of your baby. Go somewhere else to someone who knows what they are doing and can give you some definitive answers.

I recently saw Dr. Nirgudkar for a high risk pregnancy, and she is hands down the most attentive and compassionate doctor I’ve ever had. She spent as much time with me as I needed at each appointment, answering questions and talking me through things. She pushed my other doctors to take second and third looks at test and imaging results to make sure I had the care I needed. I truly felt that I had an advocate in addition to a doctor. I really can’t say enough good things about her.

We saw Dr. Nirgudkar for our first pregnancy. From the first appointment, we had to do weekly appointments for the las 3 months, Dr. Nirgudkar was awesome. Extremely professional, competent, polite, explained things to where we could understand, patiently answered our hundreds of questions and was just generally a nice person. Highly recommend her if you are looking for a great doctor in Atlanta. our experience was nothing but great!

Horrible experience. This doctor has no clue what she is doing!

Bad experience, during a time in which the last thing you need is a doctor that doesn't seem to care. Honestly, she seemed very nice for the basic things, but once I started asking questions she didn't seem to like that too much. She made me feel as another number in her practice, she seemed cold and as though she could not relate at all with my problem. (i had a previous loss)Dr. Polender and Dr. Sanchez at the same office were incredible and very caring compared to her. Never went into detail explaining things to me. My visits could be summarized as follows: " everything seems ok, did you have any questions?"Thanks to her and the front office staff I decided to switch groups completely midway through pregnancy, had to pay about $70 out of pocket to get paperwork, but it was very much worth it.
