Dr. Prapti Mulraj Kanani, MD

Dr. Kanani treated my son for hypertension, and was not consistent - she gave me clearances in writing, but sent his MD notification that he was not cleared for any sports. She made my teenage son uncomfortable for berating me and calling me neglectful. (Because I had to cancel an appointment for my mother’s first Chemo treatment). She spoke very loudly about me while I was talking to one of her staff members on the phone. Her lack of professionalism is disheartening. Even if she had every right to not like me, or call me names - she still has a responsibility to my son - her patient. I could go on and on with issues at every single appointment. When your son says ‘Mom, it’s pretty sad that the teenagers at Chick fil et are nicer than my cardiologist’. - it is clearly time to go. A child with high blood pressure does not need added stress from the professional in charge of his care.

Dr. Kanani took care of my baby while I was pregnant. She went above and beyond to care for both my daughter and myself. She saw me several times a week and followed up with phone calls. She knew how to treat our issue, but she also consulted with other cardiologists and did additional research. She answered all of our questions, and she and her staff (Renee and Janet) felt like a friends. There is no doubt in my mind that we received the best possible care with Dr. Kanani. You never want to have to see a pediatric cardilogogist, but if you do, Dr. Kanani is the one to see.
