Dr. Prasad V Podila, MD

Had my colonoscopy this morning, couldn't have been better. Even though the Dr. was 15 minutes late the entire procedure was over in about twenty minutes. Had it done without sedation and Dr. Podila did an excellent job, very minor discomfort that only lasted a few seconds. He met me in the recovery area, told me how things went and gave me my discharge instructions. He said a detailed letter would follow in about two weeks. Very good Doctor, recommend him highly.

We waited over 30 minutes.. Maybe at most he spent 15 with us. He gave us samples to try and wait we had to find out if the medication would interfear with the prescribed medication my husband was on. He said this as he was hurrying out of the room with his laptop in hand.

Attempts at scheduling appointment proving to be difficult. Hand delivered forms and have waited 2 weeks or more for a response to no avail. Phone calls gone unanswered.

Dr. Podila spent just enough time with me to do the colonoscopy. I never saw or heard from him again. I then received a bill for $3600., in addition to the $160. bill simply because one of his staff assigned me an appointment for the colonoscopy. I never saw the doctor or provided any information before begin sent for the colonscopy. Additionally, since I live in Germany, I was ASTOUNDED in very, very bad ways about the cost of the procedure!!! Unforgivable!!! My part, after insurance paid, was $972. In Germany, where diagnosis, treatment, technology and doctors are BRILLIANT, HELPFUL AND EXCELLENT!!!, the entire cost, doctor, procedure, diagnosis, and copy (on DVD) of the procedure is only E700. Total. I find these doctors greedy, and their staff unforgivably unprofessional and rude. I will NEVER, EVER see them again and can only recommend that you, too, choose to go elsewhere!!! If there were a .00000001 star to use to rate them and their office, I would certainly use it. The… one star I've assigned doesn't not do justice to how badly their office is run.

He didn't spend enough time with me to form an opinion regarding a diagnosis. He sent me straight to a colonoscopy without even listening to my concerns. I had the colonoscopy and there was no followup call. His office staff is curt and dismissive. I did received my bill right on time though.

I saw Dr. Podilla for the first time 10 yrs. ago and then saw him for the second time 5 mo. ago. He remembered me and I could not ask for a more caring, considerate Dr. He is understanding and attentive..I highly recommend him.
