Terrible visit, asked irrelevant questions, rude and very insulting comments made over and over through the visit. Never once asked about my symptoms but did ask if I was Italian and what my dead father did for a living. Bad experience!!!

He is one of the most insulting,rude and petulant doctors I have ever met ! Extremely impatient and nasty;he appears eccentric and I never felt comfortable asking him a single question.This because his reaction is always capricious and never obliging. He also appears unkempt, he often wears no socks, has dirty feet and tattered sandals. This is poor professional attire for a specialist and this is not Sri-Lanka or another third world country. I definitely would avoid him if you want an empathetic and easy to talk to Gastroenterologist doctor.

Dr wick gave my mother the gift of 3 extra years of life. No one would have performed the operations he performed. Multiple stents, Whipple procedure and many more. 17 years after her death, he remembers her. He also saved my uncle's life after diagnosing colon cancer. He is a wonderful person. He will tell you if you need to lose weight if he feels that it is affecting your health. He should! He is an amazing surgeon and has shown my family immense compassion in many ways.

I was aware of Dr. Wicks bad bedside mannor so I was prepared for it, but as far as him telling me that I should stop taking all my medication prescribed from my primary Dr. is just not acceptable. He has never met me before and has no idea of my physical history for the past 20 years so should NOT pre-judge me or my treating Dr. He has no right to override and say I am just fat and that is why I am sick.

This guy has a nasty character and never discuses your tests with you. He berates you until you leave. Not worth the trouble or being insulted going here.

Dr. Wic is a fantastic and competent Dr. He is very accurate with his dx and treament. He is a very discerning individual. This man is my friend. I trust him completely. He cares about people!

This doctor doesn't like to explain what's happening with this patient. He prescribed something for pain, which was actually a drug made to deal with depression. He also told me that he's not concerned with my financial inability to pay for the medication. Dr.Wick's bedside manner couldn't be worse. When he reprimanded me for being overweight, I informed him I've lost 40 pounds these past few years. His response, "You were fatter?"

He works in RUMC as a dr on staff for Gastro patients. I have never met a Dr with the Worst bedside manner. He did Not let me ask any questions. He offered his Opinion/Advice. I have UC for 8 years, he Told me to Remove my colon as if it was an appendix and that I would be cured and be able to live a normal life. He Discharged all the medications in my plan of care while in the Hospital, and went against my wishes, as well as other dr's care plan. He had me Crying. I asked for discharge just because I NEVER, EVER want to see him again. To tell someone the only Cure is Surgery is inaccurate and inappropriate when he is NOT MY DR. When I questioned him about my Secondary Diagnosis of Arthritis, he Ignored my question. He just simply told me that I need surgery and don't need medication. As for Pain Relief, don't even bring it up with him, he doesn't believe in it. He gets ZERO stars. For speaking down at me, not answering my questions, going against my wishes, other Drs care plan, and… the main goal of my hospital stay. He BRAGS that he has over 50 years experience, and dismisses any statements I had made to him about other people with the same disease and how they have been affected after surgery. He is an Egotistical person, with NO empathy for his patients. If working over 50 years, he should retire.

Dr.Wick has the skills of Greatness but lacks enough Humility to say he is well liked.However he cares very much about his patients health,maybe that is why he is so abrupt.
