Total quack job

We saw Dr. Boyareddigari last night at the emergency room. The doctor was very good and matter of fact in allaying our concerns and reducing the anxiety. He had a quick comprehension of the problem and we were very happy. Obviously well trained and knowledgeable. He gave us appropriate referrals and we were glad we chose to go to the Houston Methodist emergency care center .

I saw the man for maybe 1 minute to listen to him dismiss everything that was wrong with me. I asked him how that could be and he couldn't give me any direct answers just that I was wrong... Because I kept asking him for answers he just walked away and never came back. I was discharged minutes later from a nurse...it's people like him that tarnish the reputation of all serious doctor's in the field. This is why no one likes to go to the hospital, to pay hundreds of dollars to a dismissive, unconcerned, can't be bothered doctor.

This doctor was ready to discharge me from the ER with only one test result. He forgot to order the one test and refused to do another even though I had orders from my primary physician. He is both negligent and condescending. I recommend going to another ER if he is the attending physician.

I was looking for Dr. Boyaredidigari s name to write him a note of gratitude and came upon these negative reviews. My thank you is a long time coming, almost a year but I have not forgotten what happened when we brought my Mother in via ambulance with a life threatening GI bleed. I watched Dr. Boya - as he is most affectionately called in the ER - take over her care quickly and efficiently and worked with his team to save her life- literally. Was he nice and warm with a cuddly bedside manner? No- he was decidely not - but he looked me in the face when I hesitated and told me he had to act fast. ER doctors dont usually even wait this long - they are trained to work fast to save lives. They dont have time to be sweet - they dont have time at all. When my family was at our very lowest, this doctor saved our Mother, with his 'rudeness'. I found him to be kind and caring - which is what an ER doc must feel to do what they do and for long hours. I am forever thankful.

It's bad when you find the resident to be more courteous and competent than the supervising attending, but that was my experience with Dr. Prasanth Boyareddigari at Houston Methodist yesterday. Never took a full history, never listed my meds, saying they were all on Methodist's MyChart (they weren't), ordered lots of CYA tests and tried to bully me into even more when these came back negative. Dismissive, rude, condescending, particularly to women. If he's the only ER doctor, check yourself out and go to a different hospital or try one of the satellite Methodist ERs.

This doctor has a lousy bedside manner and is very condescending and rude to his patients. He needs to be educated on professionalism. Do not go to Methodist Hospital ER and if you do pray he is not the attending.
