Dr. Prasanth Nuthakki completed his undergraduate studies at Wright State University, Dayton Ohio. He attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Dominica in 2006 and completed an internship at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati in 2007. In 2010, Dr. Nuthakki completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York. While at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Dr. Nuthakki was appointed chief resident from 2009 to 2010.

Following his residency, Dr. Nuthakki completed an interventional spine and sports medicine fellowship with Alabama Orthopedic Spine and Sports Medicine Associates, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Nuthakki is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, North American Spine Society, International Spine Injection Society and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

I have been suffering from low back pain for quite some time. I have been on many different medications like muscle relaxers, nerve medicines, and motrin. He made some small adjustments in the dose of medication, ordered an MRI and then recommended back joint injections. For the first time in a long time, I am able to swiffer my floor, go shopping, and go to the grocery store without discomfort. Thank you Dr. N!!

I have a very complicated medical history, including several back surgeries. He was very patient and listened to what I had my history and got all my records. We discussed treatments and options. Very thorough.

Dr Nuthakki, is a really good doctor. I have been going to him for back injections since 2013. He was my doctor when he was with Ortho Indy in Indianapolis. I now take the 3 hour drive to see him in Munster Indiana, that's how much I like him. The drive is well worth it to me!

I seen him for a spinal injury, he poked and prodded and sent me for an mri, he read my mri in my follow up and recommended epidural pain shots in my back, he wanted me to travel an extra 50 miles 1 way to get the shots because he didn't do them locally. He was a good doctor, but I can go to another doctor that is local to get the shots he wanted to do. He doesn't give pain meds, and with a spinal injury you really kind of need them. Very thorough, caring, and professional!
