Dr. Prasanti Tatini, MD

Do not waste your time. This psychiatrist has her full time gig at the hospital. She is the proprietor of her practice in only name only. Expect to only see NP's.

Dr Tatini is a wise, gracious, smart, insightful, caring woman with a great demeanor and warm bedside manner. I feel so lucky to have got in with Florida First and I can't wait to see her again. She really listens to you when you tell her what meds work for you. She listens with the heart of a therapist.

I have been seeing Doctor Tatini for a few years now and she has been very helpful in treating me for the issues that I have been going through for a long time. I would recommend Dr. Tatini to anyone who needs to see a Dr. on a one on one basis. She never rushes me through our sessions and she listens to what I am telling her. She asks a lot of questions during our sessions and my answers are what she basis my treatment plan on and not what other Dr.'s may look in their books to see what may be wrong. Dr. Tatini was affiliated with the TMH Behavioral Health Center but has moved on. I have been going to the Behavioral Health Center for many years and have always requested a female doctor due to my issues that I have been going through. Now that Dr. Tatini has the TMHBHC I will be leaving also. Thank you so much Dr. Tatini for your help and understanding,

I have been very happy with my experiences with Dr. Tatini. She always listens to me and asks me about past issues I have had. She makes me feel like she really does care about me and wants to help me be the best I can be.

Dr. Tatini did not provide me with anything remotely resembling physchotherapy. Her problems seem to be in the areas of listening, asking, remembering, and following up. Her notes from visits with me contained many omissions of information I gave her that would have been valuable diagnostic information had she actually been listening. She misquoted me, inserted conclusions that were completely unsupported by what I actually did say, and repeatedly made no mention of what she had said she would do to serve as reminders to herself. Five times over the course of 2-3 years of ineffective treatment she said she would refer me, as I requested, to see whether considering alternate causes/treatments would be appropriate. All five times there were problems with the process. She didn't make the referral for months and then only after I reminded her and alerted the staff to what she had said she would do. The referrals were sent back because she failed to provide required information.… She denied having agreed to make the referral. She denied that I even needed a referral. This doctor's mind seems to be very much elsewhere, that is, suitable only for patients who want to make a first impression on their physchiatrist with each appointment.
