Dr. Prashant Bhupendrabhai Sukharamwala, MD

Dr. Sukharamwala did Wipple surgery on me on 3 Feb 2022. From our first meeting he was absolutely focused on my well-being. He is the most accessible doctor I've ever dealt with. Answers all my questions promptly. I'm back to normal activities -- medical people see my energy and condition and ask "are you sure you had whipple? you look so good." Unfortunately facing chemo to preclude recurrence of pancreatic cancer. Dr. Sukharamwala is gentle and caring, but also honest -- won't paint a rosy picture to make you feel better. So lucky I was referred to him.

I want to let you know the difference Dr. Prashant Sukharamwala made in my life at my age of 79. He thoroughly explained and personally diagramed the procedure to me so I could fully understand what was to occur. What an awesome surgeon! He was kind and caring in every step of the way. He came to see me everyday for 14 days in the hospital. He, with his advanced knowledge of my procedure, saved my life! After I was discharged from hospital, he then informed me that it was highly recommended I have Chemotherapy treatments and explained why. He personally spoke to my Oncologist about my condition. Prashant is a very awesome surgeon. He doesn't sugar coat anything, he is straight forward and I appreciate that . He is kind and caring.

The first time I met Dr Sukharamwala was in the ER at St. Joseph when my pancreas blew up. He was wonderful right off the bat. He was trying to schedule follow up appointments, and I told him I couldn't, because I didn't have the insurance at that time. He told me not to worry about the money, let's just worry about getting you better. Here I am, 12 months later, and today he removed my drainage bag and told me I was on the mend. I can't praise him enough, and he took the time to explain things. I am a huge fan now

Dr. Prashant was incredible, helping to find the source of my pain after 9 months! Was very concerned with my condition, worked well with me with pain control and explaining my condition, taking pictures to help explain my surgery and what they found during procedure. Bedside manner is great. Very easy to reach for questions and concerns. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I felt I was sent home too soon (even though I’m aware my procedure is usually outpatient) and that the pain and recovery time wasn’t explained to me very well. If I’m unfortunate enough to have to have surgery again, I’m heading straight to Dr. Prashant!

Dr prashant is the most amazing doctor told me what he had found , sent me for all kind of test to be sure, told me exactly what he had found and how how would like to take care of it to make me healthy. Such an awesome surgeon he literally saved my life , told me everything that was going to happen and I came out of surgery so good . I was operated on a Friday and was home the following Wednesday next Wednesday he took staples and drain tube ou and I'm starting to get around so good can't believe I had such major surgery and already up and aroun d I believe this is because of such a smart , sympathetic and understanding Doctor I could go on and on . Very caring, understanding and compassionate. He took his time and explained things to me on a level that I could understand. His bedside manner was unbelievable. I was extremely scared and concerned over the surgery I needed, but he had the highest level of compassion for me and my concerns. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know
