Dr. Pratap Attaluri, MD

All of the previous comments are true!...i had to leave his office in anger for fear of acting out negatively because of his way of treating me (in my opinion) less than a person. Other people wish him the best.....i wish he'd die so the world will be a better place!

I find him to be a good Dr.We talk a little feel like I can go to him if I can find his email again.

Dr. Attaluri does not listen to the patient at all, simply pushes pills. He double bills insurance saying he did counseling and medication so he can charge 2 appts even though no counseling is done and the entire appt took 2 minutes

He talks more about his experience in his field than he does listening to the patient's concerns and experiences. When asked questions about his assessment/s, he takes it personally and becomes mildly defensive. Diagnosed me based off family history, rather than myself as an individual. The only reason I see him is because my insurance isn't accepted anywhere else.

I went to him and had to tell my primary care I’d never go back because I was sure we would end up in a brawl. This clown was getting aggressive with me , I felt like he wanted to get in a fight , he was putting down my other doctors , saying terrible things about them . Is overall attitude will leave you so angry by the time you leave the office you will need to go find another doctor just to figure out how to deal with the anger. he Tries to bully people and needs to put his mouth in check. People are there seeking help, not hostility . Before discussing my problems or knowing my last name he had a list of antipsychotic medication he wanted to put me on. I have liver problems and can’t take most of them and I have bad reactions to others so I use therapy and much milder drugs. I have worked hard overcoming a lot , and going to him I know would have resulted in years of work destroyed. I’m still trying to find a doctor who will work with my insurance, but I feel I’m more likely to… get better not seeing him. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, he just doesn’t seem to understand having that attitude with people who suffer mental illness and who’s lives are many times stressfull and in disrepair will never trust or respect someone acting like this. I wish him the best, just not for me at all.

I went to my appt with an open mind and quickly found him to take years of information as being wrong. He wanted to change my meds, health information from another doctor, and made me feel afraid. I immediately contacted HSC to try another doctor that will take me seriously and care about my mental health. I have had several doctors but they moved away and changed insurance. He is not a polite person to deal with at all. My advice, find a different doctor.

I went to this appt knowing he was a new doctor and was nervous. First of all, the doctor was cordial and received well. Then the shoe dropped, he questioned my meds that have worked fine for years. Now I am scared of what will happen to me in the future. I left his office with a plan of going back to HSC because at least I know my health will be taken seriously.

I had a much anticipated appt with this dr. Wow! Didn't know anything about me. Didn't ask, even when I agreed with him he had something to say. Please, if you need help, find someone else.

Rude. Does all the talking, Puts word in your mouth, Will not let you finish your sentence. Did not address my issues at all!!!!!

Because of my insurance I only had two psychiatrists to choose from. Out of the two the other Dr. was primarily through a clinic and I didn't want to be subjected to being passed from resident to resident. The office will send the patient a lot of paperwork to fill out and bring in which more offices are doing but after filling out all the forms the office didn't want them. Dr. Attaluri's first and only visit with me was about 15 minutes ( first visits are usually a bit longer with any Dr. because of the assessment). I found him to be harsh, inpatient, uncaring. His bedside manner is absolutely horrible. He would ask me questions but as soon as I would begin to answer he would cut me off. Accused me of being a "seeker" which means someone who is looking for a Dr. for hard to get drugs such as narcotics. I confronted him on this accusation and he back peddled stating that was not was said but I was then a seeker for different Drs. I had an insurance change that forced me to find a… different Dr. so he saw it as someone chasing Dr. after Dr. His visit made me feel awful that I left crying. Before leaving he also told me that I was taking up to much of his time that I'm not the only person he has to see and I was taking valuable time from patients that are waiting to be seen. When I left there wasn't anyone in the waiting area. Everything he said about me was wrong, He had me diagnosed before I walked into his office. He is a judgmental man that loves to be in control. He has a very strong personality ( nothing wrong with that) but he uses it in such a way you can feel intimidated by him. I will never subject myself to this treatment again as my primary care physician has agreed to taking over the medication. Since that visit I have heard first hand from others that they had similar experiences.
