Dr. Pratap Saraf, MD

I am a surgeon from Houston Texas. My sister has lung cancer. I consulted pathologist and oncologist friends after we found out from the CT scan result. Dr. Saraf ordered biopsy for my sister. I tried to call his office to ask him to stain the biopsy tissue certain way for later treatment. He refused to talk to me although I mentioned to his staff that I was also a physician. Now my sister needed another biopsy for treatment. Dr. Saraf, in my opinion, is not only arrogant, indifferent to patients’ concern, he is obviously an idiot. D. Nguyen

I like the doctor as he seems to be helpful but the staff never called me to inform me the prescriptions were denied. They never call me back and made me contact my own insurance to figure out what the doctor can prescribe to me. I guess that makes me a partial doctor. This is the staffs job or the doctor should be calling my insurance and know what he can or cannot prescribe. The staff says it takes them too much time to call the insurance and the doctor doesn't do that. Appointments are about 3 weeks apart and the doctor is not available for phone contact if have problems with medication reactions. As a working woman and with two children, it is very hard to call my insurance and figure out what the doctor should prescribe, especially when I have to pick my children up from school - after work.

Dr. saraf has been my doctor for over 10 years. This is the most caring Doctor I know, he is a happy person, has great skills, and find the health problem quickly.

Marvelous Doctor incredible bedside manner and diagnostic skills. Wonderful to work with. The staff seems a little hard to work with and disorganized, which has affected me in different ways over the past 4 years I have been seeing him.
