Dr. Pravinchandra Zala, MD

I had my first visit with Dr Praveen. It was excellent and he is very attentive and gave enough comfort to speak on my symptoms. He is very detailed and I am happy that I am in good hands.

Dr. Zala listened to my issues and asked questions about them. He thoroughly examined me and gave his opinion. I was sent for an MRI so that he could find the cause of my problem.

Dr. Zala spent a lot of time with me regarding leg numbness and went over the steps to determine what has caused this. I went away with a plan of action for an MRI and blood work. Sharon, in the front office is very nice as well.

He always listens to me, concerned in me, he wants the best out of his patients.His office staff is ALWAYS helpful.

I went to Brandon Regional in August with right side weakness, blurriness, that had been a residual effect from one short painful headache. I had a ct scan which was abnormal. According to him it was a shadow but to pasify the other doctor he would do an MRI. MRI was done. He came in and said its becauee of your migraines. I stated multiple times that I don't have migraines, I've only had one headache. He would not listen to me. Never mentioned my inability to walk due to right side weakness. I tried to make him understand that he had it wrong. He left. Wrote me a prescription for migraine meds discharged me. I didn't fill it. Went to my pc and she said MRI was not normal and wanted to refer me to Dr Zala. I said absolutely not. I am being tested for ms or some sort of white matter disease. I just happened to read the discharge summary on the hospital portal and it was all lies. Saying that I have off and on headaches and take meds that I don't for cholesterol. He lied… throughout the whole thing. I wouldn't recommend him for my dog. He wouldn't listen and didn't care what I had to say about my own body.

I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life and I am 55 years old. My husband received a bill for $25.00 where he missed an appointment. I tried to call the office and was hung up on I know at least 5 or 6 times by the two that work in the office. I attempted to explain to them that my husband had a migraine that day and was unable to call or keep the appointment. Before I finished, they started telling me how they have many many patients with migraines and apparently that was no excuse for missing an appointment. I told her that had I known about the appointment for my husband, I would have called. If she didn't like what I had to say, she would just hang the phone up. Who does that when they work with the public? My husband tried calling to ask that the doctor call him back and before he could finish, she hung up on him. Before she hung up, she said she was calling the sheriffs department to file charges for harassment. The only reason we kept calling back was because… she kept hanging up. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, not because he is an inadequate doctor, but because of the two women that apparently control the office. Such unethical behavior!

I am disappointed my primary care referred me to this physician. I would suggest doing your research and finding a specialist associated with USF/Tampa General.

I was referred to Dr. Zala for increasing issues that were thought to be caused by pinched nerves in my spine. I took spine MRI and report from radiologist along. He did not even glance at the report. He gave a cursory flip through the MRI itself. He determined I likely had MS and ordered a brain MRI. According to the next visit he said the brain MRI was normal, which he put in his notes as well. He also said the spine MRI did not play a part in my issue and wasn't sure how to help me. He prescribed meds and said to call if they helped and he would give more. I quit going. 2 1/2 yrs later my PCP pulled the radiology reports, I didn't have MS, but the reports were NOT normal. I do have a significant condition. Due to his incompetence and not informing me of the what was in the MRIs I am now nearly 3 years late in getting surgeries and treatment needed. He should not be in this field whatsoever.

There front office staff is very rude. I have been in the customer service industry and would never nor have ever been talks to in the manor that there front staff has talked to me before. I was recommend to them by my primary. I have seen dr zala 3 times total over a year. My conditions have not subsided. I had an appointment on te 23rd in which his office staff called me about to inform me on my machine that dr zala would not be able to come in that day and they had to cancel my appointment. Next thing I know I recieve a notice in the mail saying I have to pay 25.00 for my missed appointment. I called the office and spoke to the same lady that I have several times who has been extremely rude to me and she said because I didn't call back to reschedule it was a missed appointment?! What....? Do not go here. All they want is money and your deal with idiotcy from there staff who will try to get you to give them more money when they cancelled your appointment because the dr had to leave… that day. Unbelievable

After meeting me one time I was thought to have possible somatic illness which were medical records sent to my medical community of doctors. It is in a doctors ethical code to do no harm and sense then I have been shunned by my medical community of doctors and have been dismissed. Can't walk now. You. Hurt me.
