Dr. Preema P Purayil, MD

I could’ve died because of Dr. Purayil.. I suffer from anxiety.. I thought Purayil had my best interest. I thought she knew what I needed to control my anxiety. Instead she gave me Xanax every 30 days for 3 years. Xanax for the next few years instead of referring me to a specialist. It wasn’t until I had completely changed and noticing that something wasn’t right so I went to see a psychiatrist who was amazing. He saw that she was just prescribing without really seeing what the issue was. Now I may seem like I’m ignorant to Xanax and what the power of it could mean but I trusted my doctor and I hope that she was able to help me with my anxiety. But that wasn’t the case. I thank god for my psychiatrist who has help me get off of Xanax and live a normal life without it. Xanax has ruined part of me and my brain which I still feel side effects from after one year of stopping it. This is a horrible doctor. DO NOT GO SEE HER!!! She only cares about prescribing me strong medications instead… of giving you real solutions

I have been seeing Dr. Purayil for over 5 years. The first time I meet her she asked me several questions and what med's I've taken in the past. I never had been examined by her, never been touched by her. I wait in her office for almost an hour before seeing her. If I call for a refill she is never there to fill it and the other doctors wont send a refill script to the pharmacy on record. There is another doctor there who believes she is high and mighty Dr. Addis, she won't fill the scripts and I ended going to the hospital due to this practice. I don't give them any stars.

The office is ridiculous. After showing them my son's physical papers, and them doing the physical the doctor gave me the papers and said to have the front desk make a copy. They then said that I have to pay $50 to get back the papers that I just handed them.... and whited out the physical papers, altering his medical records. Had they said it was $50 I would have not wasted my time. The doctor herself was nothing special and spent less than minutes doing my son's well check.

She's not at Galleria office, not at West Lake Mead office either. She's now at Pecos & Robindale in Henderson. She' only there 2 1/2 days a week. Always looking at her watch. She even tells you that time is up. My labs showed an infection. I had no symptoms. Gave me an antibiotic. See you in 4 months & I don't need any labs then. WRONG. I requested a follow up with labs to see if the infection is gone, since I had no symptoms. Am waiting on the results now. My geriatric doctor sent her a letter of his evaluation of me. I got the same letter. She claims she never go it. Poor doctor. Don't go to her.

I came in to see Dr. Puryal and wanted to go over some symptoms I was having. I was told she did not have much time to spend with me because she had other patients. She is very nice, however, I think Drs. should give you all he time you need to properly identify your condition.
