I went to this DR. as I needed to see a Gyno for some issues, she was very late, very rude and did not seem at all comfortable with doing the exam, like it had a icky factor for her. in any case she caught a piece of my person in the speculum as soon as she started the exam, I said it hurts, she said it will only be a few min. since I am 48, been through a million fertility and other gynecologists, I can tell you that the speculum should not have a part of you stuck in it. Regardless she finished the exam, never did a manual using her hand to check my pelvice, which I thought was odd, I think the Icky factor again. Since I had been bleeding lots and had a ton of pain, she sent me for Vaginal UltraSound, blood test and the pap test...2 weeks after the tests, I called to see what the results were, the receptionist gave me my results, everything was negative, there is nothing wrong she said. she said the reason they did not call me to tell me the results was because everything was normal,… I said wow ok, so now what, since I am still bleeding, she said oh wait, the Dr. wants you to come in for a biopsy. So I guess I was kind of shocked, I went from you have no issues to you need to come in for a biopsy. I ask for the Dr, to talk to me, they said she will call back when she can, she called back around 5pm the next day, she said she could not discuss my results on the phone, I needed to come in to see her, so she can tell me what was going on. When I protested she spent 10 min explaining why she could not tell me over the phone. she said the front desk will make an appointment for me, I got transferred and was told I would not able to see the dr. for 3 weeks. on the day of my appointment which was today, I called the Drs office to see what time my appointment was, I knew if was in the afternoon but had forgotten the time, when I asked them about my appointment, they said, we are sorry you dont have an appointment today. When I protested that I had waited 3 weeks for this appointment, they said well we can see you today at 1:45. so I took my husband with me for moral support and perhaps he could help me get a better reception, since he is white and well educated sounding, I am not white and fat. and often people treat fat none white women as less than a person. The appointment started finally at around 2:30, I showed up at 1:15, to make sure I got in. She never wanted me to come, she did not want to be my Dr. because why I asked, well because we don't have a good relationship. so basically I waited 3 weeks, to be told that I am not the kind of patient that she wants to be a Dr to. the reason why is because I complained, so complain at your own risk. When I told her, I am here now, please at least give me the test results as you told me to come so you could give them to me. She told my husband and I what the issues were and told us that she did not want me as a part of her practice... I am not sure what kind of patient you have to be, but one that has been in pain for weeks and bleeding weeks after my period had ended, was not the kind she wanted to see, apparently, not only you have to always be on your best behavior, never ask questions, or complain. its not enough anymore to be sick and have insurance, now you have to also drink the coolaid and be ok with being treated like you do not matter, she was so not in to being nice to me, the rest of the time we were there she explained everything to my husband, I guess being a white man helps, specially when you are a female Doctor of Indian decent. I am pretty sure I would not have had the same experience with Doctor who does not hold preconceived notions about their patients. Needless to say as I type this I have wasted 2 months trying to figure why I am bleeding and have so much pain. I need to find a better gyno, you know of any?
