Dr. Preeti Attavar, MD

Dr Attavar has treated me for years. She takes the time to discuss and explain issues. She is polite but blunt and straight forward. She doesn't rush through the office visit like many doctors do. Office staff have always been polite and helpful as well. She understands the rules CDL drivers have to follow for heart issues and works to keep you both health and legal.

I recently had the worst experience with Dr Attavar and the St Marys & Elizabeth hospital.After being admitted to the hospital,never once did this doctor come to my room to first introduce herself to me,secondly to discuss my medical condition I never had the opportunity to meet with and ask questons about my medical condition.I repeadatly asked the nursing staff to please message Dr. Attavar to inform her I was wishing to meet and talk with about my condition.There two days and never a visit from Dr Attavar,only to be treated by the nursing staff of the hospital.The hospital staff was extremely rude,judgmental of me because of the extreme pain I was in never concerned themselves because I was in excruciating pain and only felt I was seeking to just receive pain medication.Never been so humiliated in my life.Two times in the same day the hospital staff mistaken me for another patient..How in the world could this happen?From the rudeness,to the mistaking of me for another patient,to… never meeting or having Dr.Attavar visit me I'm currently at home in as much pain as I was when I drove my self to the hospital at 4am.I'm hopin my post will give someone an opportunity to be more informed then I was.No compassion,No empathy,over all total disregard for my health both physically, and emotionally.I would not recommend this Doctor or this hospital to anyone!

Her staff is awful. They are rude and repeatedly ask the same question over and over. You cannot speak to her unless you make an appointment, otherwise you will not see her ever again.

I would just like to say when my family has a history of open heart surgeries and severe mitral valve prolapse, the fact that this doctor told me the reason I am having heart pain is because "I am skinny and stressed" is ridiculous. That was her conclusion and I am very unhappy with the experience I had. The staff also kept saying "hurry with this patient, I am starving and for lunch we want mcdonalds!" Yea..very classy and comfortable. I didn't even do a follow up bc I thought they were absolutely ridiclous and I am not paying for a cardiologist to tell me I am experiencing heart pain bc I am "skinny." Ridiclous!
