Dr. Preeti Mathur, MD

Avoid this doctor at all costs!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. She does not care about her patients at all and is only motivated about getting money as quick as she can. She is the embodiment of what is wrong with the medical system today.

Extremely unprofessional. Would be zero stars if available. My daughter had an appointment via telehealth. She made the situation worse and had zero "bedside manner". Told a 19-year-old college student dealing with some depression within 20 minutes that she couldn't help her and that she should look into checking herself into inpatient care. She was far worse off after her session.

Do not see Dr. Mathur!!! She is cold, uncaring and money motivated. She doesn't remember anything from one appointment to the next, I don't think she takes notes during the session as there is no follow up to any concerns I express. She wrote two different prescriptions for me and continues to ask me at every appointment if I had ever tried them. She told me to cut out caffeine to help my anxiety which I did and I still get told every session that I should cut our caffeine. Did she even write it down that I already did??? She shamed me time after time for the medication I was on and when I asked what else to do she said there isn't anything else you can do. She insists on appointments every THREE weeks or she will not refill your meds. She refuses to use an online pharmacy or give you more then a months worth forcing you to spend another copay. I could go on and on but the point is if you want a Dr that actually cares about you and isn't only interested in money DO NOT SEE PREETI… MATHUR!!!! I have been seeing Psychiatrist's for over 20 years and have never encountered someone like this, who especially in the mental health field would cause so much stress and anxiety in a patient who has been diagnosed with Anxiety and Bi-polar disorder. She refuses to even talk to me on the phone to try and resolve the problem. I would have to spent another co-pay to have her tell me the same thing over and over again. The only reason I have one star at all is because the office manager has been amazing trying to help me. She got me all set up with a different provider and really took the time to listen and solve my problem.

Before seeing Dr Mathur I read the very mixed reviews, but decided to give Dr a shot. Bad decision. My mental health declined under her care. She refused to continue prescriptions for me that I have been taking for the past 7+ years. While these prescriptions involved controlled substances, the blatant refusal to continue the care I had been receiving was not only extremely frustrating but caused a huge disrupt in my day to day life. I have since switched doctors. I would NOT recommend Dr Mathur nor Community Psychiatry clinic to anyone.

Awful. Dr. Mathur is extremely cold and impersonal. She has absolutely no sensitivity or friendliness, and it is impossible to feel comfortable with her. I had a hard time taking her seriously because of her unpleasant demeanor. Additionally, she prescribed a medication (which did NOT work for me), but did not tell me about the severe side/withdrawal effects I would be subject to should I miss a dose or wish to change my medication. Do NOT recommend. Should not be in this profession.

Dr Mathur thought and treated me as a completely different patient. I guess she had the wrong folder in front of her and didn’t notice I wasn’t the same individual for the entire 20 minutes of our consultation. The office had to call me back as I had the prescription for another patient..... very unprofessional and disrespectful.

She helped me out of a horrible depression. I was completely difficult.
