Dr. Preeti Modi

I have gone here for a few years and had been happy. This last visit made me feel terrible. I was asked a question and as I was answering she interrupted and told me to get to the point. I'm wondering if this is even a good fit anymore. That was very rude.

Unfortunately I am now a former patient. I had been a patient of Dr. Modi for 8 years. She was very helpful at first, but in the past two years I have had issues leaving each appointment feeling unheard. And in the past year have had trouble finding out what the cause of my new health issues have been. It seems she doesn't want to listen to my concerns or investigate what has truly been going on. My last appointment she blew off my symptoms and worries and I left doubting myself and feeling terrible about the outlook on my health. It is truly going to be my last appointment with her. I have since seen two specialists (that I had to seek out myself) who have listened to me and helped me try to figure out what is happening. I guess if you don't have any significant health issues, the care she provides may be enough. But if you have anything halfway serious you may want to look elsewhere.

Save yourself the haste of having to find a new doctor. Dr. Modi doesn't listen to or care about her patients. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. There was zero doctor patient interaction. Every appointment I had she just stared at her computer screen the whole time and spoke in an uninterested and monotone voice.

I have a chronic condition. I feel like Dr. Modi does a good job. She is respectful and listens very well. Dr. Modi speaks softly and calmly which alleviates some of the stress caused by going to the doctor.

Wonderful knowledgeable Doctor that knows what she is doing.

I am a former patient for sometime. I had been treated for multiple symptoms that were never fully resolved. I had been on Blood pressure Medicine for 3 years and she refused to let me start from scratch. At four pills a day for BP and it is still stroke level, someone send up a flare plz. I had the same problems as others that she listens but she don't hear you. When you request a referral she gives a excuse that she can't get you one. that the other doctors only accept this yada yada. I was up to 16 Pills a day. This is not normal and she was poisoning me with all those pills. I tried to do the right thing and get a fresh starts but shee tend to pull the lets try this pill or that pill, rather then getting you in to see another specialist. Now speaking of specialists, seems she prefers the foreign doctors over others. It is like this they always take your money but when it comes to really getting to the problem she won't cure you. I don't think she has enough experience to… be in this profession. She should tend to cold and flu and band-aid. She won't accept anything you say until she gets blood results. My Thyroid was so screwed that I couldn't swollen pills. My neck was constantly swelling but she just ignored sending me to a Endocrinologist, that after I left her as a patient the Endo doctor said they found it was a disorder that was causing most my issues. If you complain, then you need Meds for that, if you wanna give up then she wants you on Suicide watch.. Why you ask? Well she married a Psychiatric doctor that is with the same hospital system so this allows her to get Psychiatric advice rather then her diagnosing the issue. The staff was always pretty good, though they get busy, they do try to get back with you in a timely matter. My Review is Modi does not have enough experience to be in this position. Last off, St. John AKA My Mercy hospital system admins passed the ruling down to cut the time with all patients in order to see more. This becomes less professional treatment for you and more profit for the hospital system. They had twelve doctors in one field resigned because they cannot treat a patient properly in a 30 min slot, most of which is taken up buy the Nurse rather then the actual doctor. Yes I could go on in other areas from the time I was with her and the system but I shall leave it at that. ThePrincipal

i was forced to change doctors after my physician moved away. Saw her once and she was just not someone whom I felt comfortable at all. Really hard to get along with and I won't be back.

If you want a run-of-the-mill doctor who subscribes to the generic advice you will find in 99% of doctor's offices, then Preeti Modi would be a good choice. I like that she spends time with her patients, and her nurse is friendly and professional. However, that does not make up for Dr. Modi's lack of in-depth knowledge on many health issues. I especially am surprised that she doesn't stay up-to-date on current findings in healthcare. On one occassion I made an appointment to see Dr. Modi to get a referral from her to see a rheumatologist, only to be told that rheumatologists only deal with patients who have rheumatoid arthritis, and not other arthritic problems. This is simply not true, and it was frustrating that I was unable to get a referral.

My 84 yr old mother requested an MRI for a neck issue and Doctor Modhi "refused" to order it. We're done with Modhi! If you choose her as your Doctor especially for an older family member, good luck!

Dr. Modi is an awesome doctor. she is very caring and listens carefully to your questions and needs and always takes you seriously. Great Docter!
