Summary
I was born and brought up in India. I graduated from medical school in 1976. I underwent further training in internal medicine in India until I moved to the United Kingdom in early 1980, and worked in training posts there for three years. Afterwards, I accepted a residency in internal medicine in New York. After completing a fellowship in pulmonary medicine in 1988, I joined Kaiser Permanente and have been here ever since. I have wanted to become a doctor since high school.
