Dr. Prevesh Kumar Rustagi, MD

My former spouse was a client of Dr. Rustagi, and he was quick to over-medicate, never spent more than 5 minutes with us in person, and was ridiculously manipulative and hurtful to us when we were experiencing the worst years of our shared life. The final straw was when he compelled me to call 911 while in his office, because my spouse was reluctant to return to PBH (which is a terrible facility!) which resulted in 4 police officers literally carrying my husband out and taking him by force to PBH. I literally cried in my car in desperation. I do NOT recommend Dr. Rustagi for anything beyond those actively seeking meds.

Literally saved my mother's life. I've been a patient for 30 years and think he is awesome. Don't expect warm and fuzzy and you will be a happy customer. No, he won't pamper you but he will establish a relationship with you that will serve you well and he won't leave you hanging. He is a straight shooter and I trust him with my life.

I, too, thought he was cold at first. But he is very kind, and caring. He is also professional and efficient. If you want talk therapy, find a therapist. If you want someone who knows the meds and won't let you down, see Dr. Rustagi. Your health is worth it.

Long ago in the early 1990s I had been suffering from depression and treatment was not working. I went to Dr. Rusagi and he worked until he found the best solution; a solution no other doctor had considered. That treatment has carried me through to today and beyond. He was diligent in solving the problem, unlike any other doctor I had seen. Thank you for saving my life and making it possible to be a productive person. You are the best.

When I suggested even the possibility of starting HRT, he was dismissive and judgmental, claiming it would ruin my brain chemistry. He does not spend much time with you during appointments and seems to assume everything is peachy unless you are very direct and repetitive about it being not. Also very reluctant to switch antidepressants after I repeatedly (2+ years) stated that mine wasn't working. Does not use any real medical terms or diagnoses; treats you like a child who doesn't understand anything.

The medicin Dr. R prescribed to me was perfect, it's helped me a lot.

No compassion. Zero. Went to him for help, and wouldnt take as a patient. Accepting new patients, yes, but not a "challaiging" case like me. Shame on you.

He's very smart and knows what he's talking about but he isn't that kind at all. In fact he made me cry the very first time I saw him.

you may not like what he tells you, but he knows his stuff and is usually right.
