Good clinician, but if you ask too many questions, you are required to privately pay for your visit since it is no longer considered an annual "wellness" visit. Then she asks you to schedule a regular wellness visit that same year, which would be covered by insurance. Well, I thought patients were supposed to ask questions at annual wellness visits, so of course all my prescriptions were renewed, and there is no point in scheduling another visit since I already asked all my questions, plus I would thereafter be required to have 2 visits a year: one for prescription renewals and one "wellness." If I scheduled another "wellness" visit this year which the insurance would pay for (and at which I wouldn't ask any questions since I already asked them all, plus the visit wouldn't qualify again) I would still have to schedule an appointment next year to get my blood work and prescriptions renewed on time, which insurance wouldn't pay for since that visit would be too early to qualify for… "wellness." Seems like double-dipping to me. I declined to schedule the second "wellness" visit this year, and will be certain to ask no questions next year so the visit qualifies for my annual wellness and is paid for by insurance. She should have warned me that if I went beyond a certain time limit (I would have to guess when that is) that I would have to pay for my own visit. I ended up paying for my own wellness visit this year, and I'm angry about it. It could easily have been prevented. Don't ask too many questions!!
