Dr. Priyanka Sharma, MD

She may not be the warm fuzzies type but she absolutely doesn’t over treat or under treat. She works with her team to get her patients cancer free. She provided me with perfect care for my breast cancer under 40 and didn’t pressure me into anything, she simply gave me the information I needed to make the right decision for my treatment.

Dr. Sharma has been very careful and cautious to create a treatment plan based on my needs and my response to the medications given. She has always taken time to visit with me when I have questions or concerns.

I found that Dr. Sharma would try to demean my chemo treatment symptoms. She never talked to me and gave me the facts about my cancer. The surgeon finally did. All she wanted to do was examine my breasts ...why ?there was never a lump anyone could feel. I am currently getting chemo under her but am starting to wonder if I can trust her to take care of me

NO Bedside Manners, cold, condescending

No bedside manner. Insisted I go back on a drug I had a reaction to despite clinical trials SOFT showing improvement of survival time with current regime of AI and OS. I do my research and was treated like I was dumb for wanting to stay on regime that was working and proven to add disease free survival time. First and last appt with her .

This doctor does not know how to communicate with patients at all, I had to move to another group to complete my chemo because she could not find an alternative to a drug I was not able to take based on the advise of my ENT. The next group had no problem finding an alternative drug. She see patients as all the same and does not know how to provide care based on individual needs.

Completely lacks compassion and does not communicate.

I feel that Dr Sharma lacks any compassion for her patients. She spends very little time with you. Examinations are done by the nurse practitioner and then Dr Sharma comes in later to speak to you but does not address all of your concerns. I feel that she is very condescending and arrogant. I think she would best be suited in research but not patient care.

Dr. Sharma is a great doctor. She spends as much time as you need to ask/answer questions and ensure you understand your diagnosis and treatment plan. Her staff is also readily available when you have questions or issues. Dr. Sharma and her staff truly care and want to assist you every way.
