Dr. Psych 4 U

My son has been seen in this office for going on two years now. We have not had the best experience. But mental healthcare in Florida has been a struggle, but this place anccepts our insurance and he needs his meds. They have canceled our appointment the day of a number of times. We recently had an emergency and was in the ER and my husband needed emergency surgery. They wanted to charge me $100 to cancel my son’s appt in addition to our copay because it was less than 24 hrs. (I’m still waiting on my several $100 cancellation fees for them cancelling) They also want to charge a $100 fee to write a letter for a summer camp clinician, which is incredibly steep for what is needed. I have been sitting in their lobby on a weekly basis and hear lots of things. They are unprofessional. They seem to be money/profit oriented and not patient focused. My son is also on his 3rd APRN for med check because they don’t last long. Maybe reconsider if this is the place you are seeking for treatment.
