Dr. Purnima Sau, MD

This practice is a mess. Too busy to actually take the minor biopsy required, i had to return and Pay Again my co-pay to have the biopsy done. Staffers are junior, overworked and few. Had to overhear the Dr. take a long phone call at the reception desk about transferring the patient to her practice

If you have a problem with respecting and treating patient’s fairly, then you should be shut down for your incompetence and illegal actions. This business needs to close and leave the country

I felt very rushed when I was there. She prescribed me a medication that wasn’t covered insurance, and to top it off I was told to come and get stitches removed without an appointment and when I arrived the office was closed despite the fact that it was 8:45 on a Thursday. Would not recommend this practice.

Very professional and excellent manners. I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from but if what you want is the best medical treatment and well being, you will get it here.

Any positive ratings for this doctor can not be from someone that is non-white. I walk into the office, say good morning to the staff clearly not at the window, but near their records area. The women that sits to the left as you walk-in acts as if she's doing you a favor. I come to the window after completing my form, and the employee seated on the left continues to look down. Finally, she asks, do you need help? No, I'm standing here like a statue. Finally, I white customer walks in, and immediately the staff say, good morning!! I watched the entire interaction. Racialism is still alive an well!! The employee says can I please have your insurance and ID. My greeting was, "insurance and ID, as if I'm being stopped by the police!! I get directed to sit down in the exam room. Instead of being seated on the exam table. I get seated in the regular chair, after I already mentioned the areas of my back, face and chest that need looked over. The doctor comes in and greets me,… and immediately it goes downhill. She never said sit on the exam table. She puts no gloves on!! She asks question and I give her answers. I tell her what my VA dermatologist is providing, she gets mad and says, "Then go back to them, I'm telling you what I do." I simply giving her the history of my treatment. She visibility upset. The whole entire time she stood 10 feet away from me, except once. She was almost touching the opposite wall to me. She clearly is scared of black males or black people that are not employees in general. But, is happy to bill your insurance and take your money with horrible service, and being unprofessional. After she tries pushing medications I've already been on, she starts to push other options that insurance does not cover. I left there knowing absolutely nothing new. I was referred here by Patient First after getting treatment there. "The provider at Patient First says, I've heard great things from her." What planet are you living on. Black people do not waste your time or money here. She is the worst of the worst. Then she makes the comment I want to see you back in 8 weeks. For what reason!, to get horrible and unprofessional treatment again. I was trying to find a provider close to home, but this is truly a disgrace. No American, former United States Marine, and federal employee should be treated in this way!!!! This is truly way Yelp an social media is truly helping this country, to let everyone know about places that should be shut down. The doctor should be proud to serve Americans, and Veterans. She comes from India and have the nerve to treat Americans and Veterans this way. Do not waste your time or money.

Dr Sau is RUDE and out for your money. She does not care to hear about your issues, only rushing you so she may get to the next appointment. Got more than one skin issue? Expect she will tell you that the next issue can only be addressed at a followup appointment, so she may bill your insurance as much as she can. THE worst doctor I've ever experienced. Save your money, stress, and time on someone who actually might care about you.

Stay away! There are many professional dermatologists in this area. Dr. Sau is not one of them. This was my second visit with Dr. Sau. I found her competent but lacking in every other aspect of professionalism that one would expect from a doctor. She provided a diagnosis standing two feet from me. She was dismissive of my concerns, rude in responding to them and spent all of 10 minutes with me, a first time patient. During the first visit, there was no privacy. Assistants were coming in and out of the room leaving the door open. Dr. Sau would do the same as she exited the room even though I was still in there without my top. I should have known better and scheduled with another dermatologist for care. But I didn't want to wait another month for an appointment. So, I went to see Dr. Sau a second time. This visit was the worst. She was removing skin tags that were rubbing on my clothing. I felt so much pain that tears ran down my eyes. She told me that I was too sensitive to pain. I… couldn't believe that she was excusing her error in not giving me a prescription topical numbing medication before for the visit. As soon as she finished removing my skin tags, I paid for the service and told the secretary to close out my file. I wouldn't be returning to her office ever again.

Dr. Sau is a very competent diagnostician. I have complete confidence in the care she provides to me. Her staff is friendly and courteous. Love Martha!

Waste of time and MONEY!!! Went in twice (got charged twice) for something she could have done the first time. Bed side manner is appalling/ rude / gets defensive when you suggest/ask questions.
