Dr. Purva Sunil Chhibar, MD

I was assigned to Dr. Purva when I was part of Kaiser. My appointment with the doctor felt rushed and she immediately prescribed me medication and said I had RA. Without knowing any better, I took the (very strong) medication and the pain never went away. I took these pills for over a month but saw no results so I asked for a different recommendation. My other doctors communicated with me online so I had no issues if I had questions but she kept pressuring me to make in-person appointments when I had simple questions for her. She then prescribed me 2 additional prescriptions (even higher dosages than the 1st) and these did not help my hand either. I lost a large portion of my hair and had stomach pain from the medication and my hand never improved. I later went to a new hospital and my new doctor reviewed the x-rays dr. Purva took at Kaiser and told me I definitely did NOT have RA and my hands looked clean and healthy. I had a bad feeling about dr. Purva but trusted her expertise at… the time and followed her instructions. I regret having ingested so much prescription drugs because of her and have permanent damage in my body. I suspect she makes profit off of how much medication she can sell and how many patients she sees which is why she tries to force you to make an appointment with her each time you have a question instead of answering them online/over the phone. She is one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a doctor. I recommend you get a second opinion if you’ve seen her already.
