Dr. Pushpa Kumari, MD

Dr. Kumari is an extremely caring and excellent Neurologist. As a female. ,odd as it may seem.. I do not particularly care nor prefer Female Doctors. however, She deserves nothing less than a 5 star rating. I'd like to give her 100 STARS if I could.. I have had a brain tumor that was discovered after my head on car collision 2009 . It was only 1cm in size then but had grown over the yrs.I was told then by a male neurologist that it was slow growing and an old tumor that I had probably since I was a child..not to worry about it..Well that tumor had grown larger in my last mri in 2017 from the VA (Veterans) hospital to 6 cm... Dr Kumari ordered me an updated scan in Nov 2019. which showed further growth of this tumor to 7 cm in less than 2 yrs. I recieved a personal call from Dr Kumari herself to tell me those recent results. Never in my 54 yr life have I ever recieved a personal phone Call from any Doctor accept her. She was truly worried for me.. This shows her True Colors… as an intelligent, competent, knowledgable Neurologist that Truly cares for your health and well being. She told me I need to contact a neurosurgeon ASAP..Which I did. This Woman has possibly saved my life.As I will now be undergoing an awake crainiotomy to remove this tumor as it is in my right Frontal lobe area and according to My Neurosurgeon is starting to grow and invade into the Western Hemisphere of my brain. Thank you Dr. Kumari and all the best to you and your freindly and caring staff as well.

The staff is rude. I feel they don't know what they are doing. Every time time my daughter spoke with them they made her cry. My daughter has MS and they told her its her fault that she has it.

Seen by her in the hospital. She made a diagnosis before the MRI was completed. That's why I have to see a neurosurgeon now. I would not recommend this doctor.

Told me I was hopeless and to give up

Dr. Kumari helped me with my father. He has Alzheimer's and she and her nurse were extremely helpful to me. She took time to explain to me what I could expect and her nurse helped me with his medications And home care services.

She really did not understand exactly what I was telling her as far as my migraines that I have been having. She kept telling me that they are rebound headaches and I know that they are not. I understand what rebound headaches are and they are not. I got the impression that she thought of me as some sort of drug addict and that offends me. I tried to tell her that I only take something if the migraine is getting worse. I am 3 months pregnant and cannot take much more than Tylenol and it does nothing for me. I asked her about any possible tests to find out what is going on she said nothing will show anything. I am very disappointed in her and hope to God that I do not pass out from a migraine episode causing me to fall and lose my baby.

I am totally happy with Dr. Kumari and her staff. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is very kind and knowledgable. Listens to your concerns and explains things very thoroughly.

Dr Kumari is an excellent neurologist. She is very caring and demonstrates and excellent bedside manner. I am so very grateful that she was able to help my mother. I highly recommend her. Thank you!
