Dr. Qamar Ul Zaman, MD

4 hour wait.

1. The person in the Dr's. office who was making the appt. would not give my PCP an appt. time until they were provided my race, social security number, full insurance information. Why is my race important? As for the other information most doctors collect this when you fill out the new patient forms not prior to making an appt. 2. My appt. was at 4:45pm, I arrived at 4:32 so that I would have the necessary time to complete the new patient forms. 3. The glass window where the receptionist sits behind, was closed with a note taped to it stating they are very busy and not to knock on the window. New patients are to take one of the clipboards and fill out the new patient information. 4. After completing the new patient information I returned to the window only to be told to hold on to the form until I was called. 5. I did not see the doctor until 6:03pm. 6. 10 to 15 minutes with the doctor. 7. Did not get out of the doctors office until 6:45pm. 8. Because it was after… 5:00pm they could not schedule the tests needed at the hospital. Having to visit an oncologist is VERY STRESSFUL, then having to wait over 1 hour and 15 minutes past the appt. times only increases the stress level.

Both of my parents have metastatic lung cancer, and we selected Dr. Zaman based on the recommendation of a friend of my mother's who is a 20+ year cancer patient of Dr. Zaman. This doctor is professional, kind, empathetic, thorough and expert in the cancer field. He goes the extra mile for his patients and truly cares about them and their families. He takes the time to share test results, diagnoses and information, and he takes the time to answer questions that the patients and families have. I would recommend this doctor to any person who is facing the challenge of cancer.
