Dr. Qanta A. Ahmed, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Qanta Ahmed in Charleston S.C. a few years ago. She was an excellent listener, very kind, rendered excellent treatment. I was very sad when she left Charleston. Charlotte H. Zaglin

IF I COULD GIVE THIS A ZERO STAR, I WOULD GIVE IT A ZERO IN A HEARTBEAT!!! Dr. Qanta Ahmed has very poor bedside manners which I can deal with but she is awfully rude and extremely disrespectful and condescending. She talks down to her patients which is very unprofessional for a physician that I am paying a service for. She likes to hear herself speak and you cannot ask any questions until she is good and ready…..at that point you will forget the question you previously wanted clarification on. She does not listen to her patients, she rushes the appointment, she gives you a quick summary and walks right out. You are totally caught off-guard by her rude attitude that you can’t even internalize anything she says. Her own staff, at the first meeting, stated she was very rude and condescending and that doesn’t like to answer questions. Should have listened to them but we found out first hand. I would never recommend her. Look elsewhere for a Sleep Center. Her staff on the other hand is… very nice.

dr qanta Ahmed seems to believe she is superior to her patients. I am not a dummy but I thought she dealt with me like I was. No interest or bed side manner.

I found Dr Ahmed to have a cavalier attitude. Dr Ahmed talks at you and does not listen.

Dr. Ahmed has a very poor bedside manner and tends to form opinions and judges rather than providing the necessary medical care that a patient needs and deserves. If going to Winthrop, I would either suggest seeing another physician or just all together go to another Sleep Center. She was extremely unprofessional and considering that you are paying her for service, you would expect a little more respect from a physician.

Dr. Ahmed is a wonderful pysician, smart, accomplished and excellent clinican.

Tests & refers way too much.
