Dr. Qiaofang Chen, M.D.

For an entire year I came to see here having symptoms that led me to believe my lung cancer, which has recently been shrunk by half it's size, appeared to recurr. Both I and My Sister, Pat Champeau, went to all of my appointments and when we both assured us that I didnt have cancer, instead of offering to treat the recurrance she would just order more and more CT chest scans with contrast dye. Finally after a year of seeing not only her, but two lung specialists at the Sheboygan Clinic she still insisted she was not sure of what was wrong with me and outright told my sister when asked directly if she had cancer that "no she did not, this was simply something called Pulmonary Fibrosis that comes with treating the lungs with radiation. The worse I felt the more often she would make me see a different clinic lung specialist. Each ordering more and more tests yet offering no definite diagnosis. In May of 2026 with shortness of breath and chest discomfort not getting any better, I went… for a second opinion with a Dr. Bettag in Sheboygan and after viewing only 3 of the previous scans was able to say that I had a definite recurrance of cancer in the same lung that had gotten worse over the period of one year. We have since switched to Dr. Bettag. We also noticed that in the year and a half we saw Dr. Chen she never offered to perform a physical exam on me except to use a stethoscope to listen to my lungs. NO TREATMENT WAS EVER DISCUSSED.
