Dr. Qilin Lu, MD

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lu and his staff. He is awesome! The office staff is so very helpful and efficient too. My entire family goes to Dr. Lu now. He has been especially wonderful with my 93 year old mother, helping us to get all of the benefits we can to have her have the best care. Loyda, office manager, is the best too! All in all, you won't find another practice like this one. It is the best.

Dr. Lu is an amazing doctor. He takes a very thorough approach, considering physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing with his patients. He's addressed aspects of my health that have otherwise been ignored or dismissed by other physicians. He was able to treat (or refer to specialists) based on these newly identified issues I've been having, and has been helpful and collaborative along the way. It sounds like, to me, some of these previous patients went in hoping for gentle discussion that enabled potentially health-harming behaviors. While I'm prone to participating in such behaviors myself, it's nice to have a physician bring it to my attention, take it seriously, and continue to support me when I struggle, or have found ways that work for me. Thanks to Dr. Lu, we've been able to identify life-altering issues that would most definitely have affected the success and longevity of myself and my family. Taking responsibility for ones health can be scary and sensitive, Dr. Lu is honest… and fair in his treatment and actions. If you want someone to really investigate your issues, hold you accountable, and work with you to achieve success, he is the physician for you.

I feel so disillusioned after my visit here. The doctor emphasizes listening to his patients and understanding, but he’s very cold in his responses. I saw this doctor for my anxiety relating to a few familial issues. He told me flat out that I should become comfortable with the idea of my family member dying. What a terrible thing to say to someone. Not to mention, that same family member recovered just fine. His approach was not holistic by any means. Instead he said something rude and tried to provide me with medication. He made my anxiety worse and if you’re coming for compassionate care, look elsewhere.

He is an uncaring sexist doctor. He tried lecturing me against taking anti depressants because I'm a woman and MIGHT get pregnant one day. He flat out told me whenever he has a "female" patient, he really has two, me and my future baby. Despite me telling him I was not planning on having kids he still lectured me about why o can't take the medication while pregnant for both my visits. He offered me no care based on my symptoms, instead using our time to lecture me about hypothetical babies.

Dr Lu has a very caring nature. He spends the time necessary explaining how things work with one another. Very friendly and personable office.

I went to this Doctor to speak regarding medical concerns and he wanted to convince me that it was anxiety. He claims to be all about listening but doesn’t actually listen or physically examine his patients closely. I left quickly to find a new doctor.

I see these negative comments and wonder if most are from the same disgruntled Patient. Their symptoms and comments appear similar. This is hardly the Dr Lu that is performing excellent, 5 Star Service to all of his patients, as is evident, in the reviews. If you are considering Dr Lu based upon these negative comments, I can, with the utmost certainty, assure you, that he is NOT the doctor they have portrayed him to be. Often times, patients will Abuse reviews, for their own selfish reasons. I challenge you to give him the opportunity to prove this "duplicated" patient(s) Wrong. Dr Lu is a fantastic doctor with all of the skills, Bedside manner, Wisdom Empathy, Education and Training afforded any Professional Healthcare Provider. He is Tops in his field, you can be assured of that. I am a satisfied, well cared for patient and highly recommend Dr Lu to all patients seeking Quality Primary Health Care for yourself and/or your loved ones. Told me I was fat and that was the cause of my issues. Said I have an eating disorder and that I won’t go anywhere in life the way I am.

He is insulting, does not listen to you make assumptions about you that are not true. Prescribed meds carelessly. If you have a weight problem he describes you in every ugly term he can think of and that’s his entire focus no matter what . Had serious problems with meds. Had a seizure Like episode and really got hurt in the fall. It was not addressed. He said I had given up on life . Really? He makes assumptions About your life that aren’t true, because of that he is not effective. He makes judgements that are a hindrance in your care. Enough Already.

I saw Dr Lu 3 times, each time hoping he might be nicer and thinking I was being overly sensitive, but by the third visit I made my decision to never return. He was rude, arrogant and extremely berating. He constantly called me obese and even made fun of how much he thought I ate by spreading his hands wide and saying " this is how much you eat" which was not only incredibly rude but also completely false. He fired off question after question then instead of waiting for my response, answered for me every time. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I waited a long time to find another doctor because I had such a horrible experience but I finally found the best doctor and I'm so happy that I never have to see Dr Lu again.
