Dr. Qing Tai, MD

POOR!!!

I have been seeing Dr Tai for 8 years. U have chronic back pain for which my treatment consists of anti inflammatory medicine, nerve pain medicine and opioid medicine. I also receive epidural injections. I was at Dr.Tai’s office for a 2 week epidural follow up and everything went well. 2 days later I had acute pain in lower back shooting down left leg and leg weakness. I called Dr Tai and he took me as an emergency, when I walked into his office and he saw how much pain I was in,the look of genuine compassion and and concern for my condition was unlike I have ever seen in a doctor before. He immediately had me sent in for an MRI and return to his office with the results. He said I had fully blown out my disc and had me at a neurologist office the same day. The neurologist said I would need surgery . The whole process took 3 days from injury to surgery. I will never forget the look of compassion in his eyes. I have had multiple epidural procedures and he has never hurt me. I would and… do recommend this doctor to anyone in need for pain management.

I am very grateful to Dr. Tai, for in my opinion, going above and beyond in my case. I had seen him years ago for a back issue and had to see him again for another back/neck issue. I went off for a MRI. That evening he called my husband to say he made appt for me to see a surgeon it was serious. He saved me from being paralyzed. He’s wonderful. I don’t believe anything else.

If you are looking for an excellent doctor for back pain I recommend Dr. Tai. He is very caring and takes the time to explain treatment options with you.

Unless you need surgery or a recommendation for physical therapy, do not go here. Apparently, Dr. Tai is only authorized to give advice and reccomendations which honestly, you can get from any retirement community bingo hall on Tuesdays. He has not been able to prescribe pain medicine since 2005 according to his office. So if you need temporary relief (which can be backed up by a physician and patient advocate) expect to be prescribed off-label medicine and be referred to acupuncture. Don’t forget to schedule your next appointment a few weeks later because he will continue to see you and leave you with a glimmer of hope until you realize he does the same “can you feel me now” and “ turn/move this way” tests each time then shruggs his shoulders and says ok I’ll see you in a 2 weeks. He will continue to see patients after knowing he can not help you. He is never direct and a little smug when you have questions. He is often hard to understand due to his accent in that he has to write… down certain words for you to know what he’s saying. His website is beautiful and seems so welcoming, his staff talks him up when new clients call for an appointment/consultation. I almost feel bad about writing such a negative review because it’s not like he harmed me in any way but I think what he’s doing is wrong and I really wish I knew this before wasting my time. The experience soured my opinion of doctors in his field.

I had been doing very well since I last time I saw the good Dr. Then I decided to try my hand at golf again about a month ago. My back did not respond well and I had a major flare up. I gave it a week to no result. Call Dr. Tai and he took me that day and got me on the road to recovery again. He is very thorough, patient and answers questions very well. He is also very conscientious about not over-prescribing narcotic pain meds and follows the proper protocols for administering such while recommending other solutions like PT and acupuncture for pain management.

I went to see Dr.Tai for the my back pains. He was very caring and answered all my concerns. He is one of the most nicest doctors I've ever seen. Highly recommended if you have back pains.

Horrible Doctor. Doesn't read past medical records by other doctors. Doesn't do a correct checkup. The worst Doctor I ever seen. Very bias and opinionated. Save your money and time. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Tai is very knowledgeable in his diagnostics. He will show you with a model spine where your issues are, what's causing your pain and discomfort & he will go above & beyond to take care of you.

Staff apparently understood my medical needs and informed me that Dr. Tai does not accept new patients for chronic pain management. Do not waste your time making a call.
