Dr. Qudsia Khan, MD

Dr. Kahn is very caring and knowledgeable. My first appointment with Dr. Kahn was very frustrating. I had to wait a little over an hour to be seen. After meeting with her I realized why. She takes her time listening to her patients and asking questions, and not only addresses your current health issue, but wants to know if you are having any other problems that may need to be looked into. I have been just as happy with her Physicians Assistant as well. I am sorry, I do not remember the lady's name, but it is evident that she is very passionate about her patients care.

Dr. Khan has been my suboxone doctor for roughly 2 months now and contrary to a few negative opinions, I absolutely love her. She has always been very kind to me and listens to me when I have concerns. I had about 6 consecutive clean UAs and just recently had my first dirty one. I was extremely anxious to see her at my next visit and was sure this would change her attitude toward me...but not at all. While she was disappointed, she was extremely empathetic and encouraging about it. She really makes me feel like she wants to see me succeed and that is a hard sort of doctor to find in this field. I feel very blessed to have her. She really seems to value honesty and accountability in her patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Qudsia Khan for several months and have been unhappy with her since the first visit. She is not willing to listen to me about how I want to manage my health issues. And she is not willing to look at all my health issues â?? she puts me off every time I want to talk about other problems I am having. In fact at one office visit she stated, â??I have spent enough time with you, I have other patients, I am busy.â?? She was very rude to me. My primary complaint is that she does not respond to my messages and does not review my test results with me, even when I ask. Also she does not respond to information requests from my insurance company so I can get the medications I need. As a result, the insurance company denied coverage because she would not provide the information they requested. The after visit summaries I receive are lacking most information as they do not include anything about what was done or discussed during the visit and does not include correct… medications she has prescribed. She also made a faulty diagnosis after talking to me for less than 5 minutes and without all the facts. Her staff is fair to poor in their skill level and has given me faulty information several times. Some of the tests she has ordered did not answer the main question of why I have certain conditions and there has been no follow-up to solve the problem. Very frustrating for me as a patient. I feel I have not received good quality of care from Dr. Qudsia Khan and Rainier Internal Medicine. I would not recommend her to anyoneâ?¦ One other strange problem is that she uses her husbands name as my PCP instead of her own. I was very uncomfortable with this.

i have found Dr. Khan to be very kind and caring, as well as thorough. It's been a long time since I've had a doctor I like so well.

Though her staff is great~My elderly Mom ended up in the hospital for blood transfusions due to the doctor not reading her notes,and following up on tests that were done. In the year my Mom has been going there~Dr Khan has never called her by name. Just "sweetie" and "dear" She was not told the results of ANY of the tests taken unless specificly asked. The doctor failed to follow up on prescription refill requests sent by the pharmacy, approving ones that were not even hers! Though she is a nice person, we do not have confidence that she is qualified to take care of my Mom and her health problems.

now a days Dr's spend 5 minutes with you after you waited 40 minutes in the waiting room to get into a room. They don't take the time to help you or get to know you. Dr Khan is an amazing Dr. who is kind and takes all the time in the world to make you feel like you're her first priority. She doesn't take your illness lightly. I live her as a Dr for me and my husband.

She seems to be a very good doctor, though a bit awkward at times. She wouldn't shake my husband's hand which bothered me/came off unprofessional. Perhaps it's a cultural issue...?
