Dr. Quynh-Thu Nguyen Doan, MD

Very sad to hear how this office has changed. I recommend Dr. Doan to someone, as she has been very pleasant to me for several years. I now would not recommend this office to anyone. The person that I recommended to the office, got to the office 30 minutes prior to the appointment time. The receptionist said her appointment was canceled because she had not logged into the patient portal. Apparently they have a policy now that if you do not update your patient portal information 24 hours prior to your appointment, your appointment will be canceled. She said she can fill out any necessary information, as she is 30 minutes early and there was nothing to update. The receptionist said that was not acceptable and not their policy. She was then charged for being a “no show”. She doesn’t remember seeing this stated anywhere and certainly doesn’t remember the office stressing the importance of logging into the patient portal. I have always heard that logging into the patient… portal is a convenience but not a requirement by the doctors office. If someone shows up 30 minutes prior to their appointment to fill out any paperwork need, that should be sufficient. Apparently this is not the case anymore. I feel that Dr. Doan doesn’t care about her patients anymore. Some people are comfortable with inputting their information into an online system and others are not. Any doctors office should be respectful of that. Just a heads up to all patients.

I was 7 minutes late due to traffic and bad parking at her office for the 15 minute window of allowance to be late for an appointment. They would not see me even though it was only to get an injection. No one else was there and they would not allow me to have a 3:45pm appointment anymore because I "abused" having a late appointment. They want to stress the importance of my injections but would not see me to give me a shot even though no one else was there. Almost all the lights were off in the waiting area.

STAY AWAY!!!! Worst bedside manner! My baby had a long list of medical problems. Large hole in heart, cleft pallet, micronathia, not growing and when born hospitalized for 6 months. At birth baby only weighed 3 lbs. At appointments she did not detect any of these problems until last ultrasound appointment she saw the baby was not growing and Induced me early. My baby is now suffering. People are stressing me to report her to the board. Terrible reception. I have go into it with Doan as well she comes off as nice but VERY FAKE! Stay away for your babies sake! DOES NOT BELIEVE IN BED REST! My friend went to her and had a problem with her placenta in major pain and would not put her on bed rest.

The title says it all. Seriously. I liked the doctor but she has employed a pack of wolves for staff.

I have NEVER in my 40 yrs of life written a review until now…that is how angry I am with how I am being treated. My account has been sent to a collection agency for a “no show” that THEY cancelled and was THEIR fault. The story goes… I put the google map address in my GPS and ended up at some place in Katy – which I spent FOREVER looking for their office. I called them 10 minutes b/4 my 2:00 appointment. They gave me the new location which was AT LEAST 15 minutes away. I said I was on my way but was going to be late for my 2:00 appt. They called at 2:13 asking where I was. I said I was in the parking lot trying to find a parking spot. They said I was too late and would have to reschedule. I explained to them that this was not my fault that they need to change the info on google maps. She basically called me a liar and said google maps was correct (like I would show up at the wrong address if it was correct in google.) I went home and took a screen shot of google maps on my… computer and the google app on my phone and sent them the information along with an explanation of the call I made ahead of time and the frustration I felt of wasting an hour driving around just to have the appt I waited 3 MONTHS for to be cancelled. THEN they send me a bill. I have continued to send them the proof of google maps and the explanation. Yesterday a collection agency sent me a bill. And just for the record…When I wrote Dr Doan the initial e-mail she responded by telling me that they have been trying for years to get the location changed on google – so they KNEW this was a problem – yet still sent a bill. Funny how NOW, the address is correct. I really liked Dr. Doan but the way they are operating this business is despicable. Such a shame.

This review is in no way towards the doctor. Called to let the office know I was worried about what health effects that were happening. I was told they couldn't help me because they didn't take my insurance. I told them I did private pay last time. The woman on the phone informs me that they couldn't help me because they don't take the insurance, and that they couldn't do private pay, even though they did it the past 2 years. Needless to say the staff makes you feel like your a bother to them if you don't have the right insurance. And worse is the feeling of being helpless because no matter what is occurring with your health, money comes first.

Worst Doctor ever!!! Dr Doan's very irresponsible and material Doctor during the time I was pregnant. Never responded on patients' concerns as well. In my week 36 of last ultrasound, I was told that there was a knot in my umbilical cord, so she put myself in C section to make extra money for herself through my pocket and insurance while there wasn't. My baby was in the right position and she was supposed to be delivered in a natural way. Dr Doan gave us a very hard time of being afraid of losing our baby at anytime. After C section, the baby came out little bit early as premature with issue of fast breathing due to her mistake, so hospital kept her in NICU for almost 2 weeks. Dr Doan also gave us the wrong result in baby gender after 7 times of ultrasound as well. After everything, there were NO apologies at all. Also, she charged every single form which was requested from my HR company for short term disability. Definitely not recommend this terrible Doctor to anyone. Please STAY AWAY… as far as you can!!!

Dr. Doan is a special Dr. She has a relationship with each one of her patients. She delivered 2 of my babies and I am so glad that she was my doctor.

This is a one of kind dr in katy area. She is awesome! She pays attention to all your questions and concerns. I love going to see her even tho I hate yearly exams she makes them way more comfortable and easy. I would highly recommend her any day. She always closes her appointments with a huge :)

She told me she couldn't see a sac and I was miscarrying, there was no chance of the baby surviving, and my cervix was open and low. The next day I went to the ER and there was a sac, yoke and heartbeat, and my cervix was high. I was going to return to her in 3 days to terminate my "chemical pregnancy". Every non-doctor I spoke to after visiting her told me it was just implantation spotting and it's normal not to see a yoke/sac at 6+ weeks and I should get a second opinion. I'm glad I did. Dr Doan said I was miscarrying because she couldn't see anything. I may have had a miracle overnight but if you have to do an ultrasound while with her, I'd suggest using a technician to prevent misdiagnosis.
