Dr. Ralph William Barron, MD

Dr. Barron gave me advice on how to withdraw from a drug. I had a terrible experience. When I saw him in person he finally called the drug company (on my dime) and then fired me. I had lost my temper, but his help at that time would have been important. I never heard from him about the results of that phone call. I later read in the paper that that medicine is difficult to withdraw from. I had a couple of either bad or unpleasant reactions to medicines which he pooh-poohed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barron's for over 6 years. I asked him for a copy of my medical records (in writing) and he refused to send them to me. When I called him and asked him for the records nicely, he actually hung up on me, so I called him back and he told me he would not be sending me my medical records, and he hung up on me again. He must not be familiar with HIPA laws. I believe it's time for Dr. Barron to find himself a good psychiatrist or to retire. I have no idea what brought on his very strange behavior but it's scary.
