Dr. R Keith Felstead, DO

Kind caring Doctor. I’ve been with him for over 15 years and wouldn't consider anyone else. He and his staff just simply do an exceptional job.

I always thought he was an understanding and respectful doctor who cared about his patients sincerely. However even though some other Doctors and places he refered me to go for tests,and possible trial treatments questioned why he would ,I figured it was out of concern for my overall health. But Later got a letter stating that I was not in compliance ??? and something about patient and Doctor communication breakdown stating he could no longer care for me and I would need to get a different doctor because I would not get a colonoscopy because my body could not handle the prep for it...and I did try to a couple times, even practicing the special diet beforehand etc. And others in family had very bad experiences with colonoscopies/surgeries etc.He even agreed not to bring it up again but did anyway and sent me to another doctor who I was told could do a consultation about an alternative to colonoscopy only to find out that doctor said he could not help and only did colonoscopies and was… going to talk to him about it. Waste of co-pay. Then he ,I believed out of concern), had me make apointment with a well known cancer care place because he thought they had a trial I could do that may help. Well that never came to be because they called me questioning why he would want me to go there and said that the trials are only for people who already have cancer and it would be a waste of co-pay unless you wanted to be cut (biopsy), or get a colonoscopy,which I could not do. But I was told by him that it would be a consultation (again),and they always say to spend a day with them before making any other decisions concerning your health...but that did not happen either....So how was it that I was not in compliance when I was willing to see the other doctors for a "consultation" for alternative test,etc??? Very sad and dissapointed and left to find new doctor at a very bad time. .

Dr. Felstead is a wonderful doctor. He is compassionate and treats you like a person-not a medical record number. Very skilled and knowledgeable doctor.

I must say I have been with Dr Felstead since he came to PCWNY but now it OS very hard to get in and see him...you are always asked if one of hos trainees can come in a d see you or one of the other docs there....he is very laid back and has a great bedside manner...I wish he could make more time though for his patients.

I've seen this doctor when he first got started. Now it's tought to get any time with him. Usually get a medical grad student who he is training. I've seen many doctors in my day and this guy is a rock star. Maybe thats why he is in such demand. I can't say enough about the man. He is very quite and mellow but has excellent advice.

Very caring and courteous physician. Highly recommended.

Dr. Felstead is extremely kind, charismatic and laid back. He spends as much time as you need with him and is always concerned about your lifestyle as a whole. The only downfall is that Primary Care Practice is WAY to busy. The average wait time is 20mins or more on the phone to get an appointment or even speak with a human being! The nice part is that they are open late. If you can get past the wait time, hes definitely worth it.
