Dr. Robert Scott Rankin, DO

Took my son into the West Shore hospital ER because he passed out. He passed out again in the ER. Dr Rankin said that his blood work looked ok so he was fine. He really didn't care to get to the bottom of why my son passed out 2 times in a 12 hour period. Hope Dr Rankin can sleep tonight, I know I won't be. All he seemed to care about was getting us out as fast as he could. Horrible experience!!!

He was the ER Doctor at the Pinnacle Health West Shore hospital. I was in for a blocked kidney stone which eventually became infected. He told me to take some pain meds and go home to pass the stone, you don't need to be here. He then scolded the nurse for hooking me up to a heart monitor an blood pressure to check vitals, "she's here for kidney stones she doesn't need that stuff". He recommended I go home, I luckily asked to be admitted in the hospital, where I spent the the next 4 days with a blood infection and a blocked kidney. I don't think this "dr." Rankin should be allowed to administer a bandaid. If I did go home per his recommendation, I could have died from the infection.

Er visit awful experience

Dr Rankin was the attending emergency room physician when I was brought in for treatment of a broken shoulder as a result of a fall while skiing. He was very professional and provided excellent service.
