Dr. Raanan Gilboa, MD

Never called me about ct scan results talked to his office"stewart medical 3 times for him to call me after 4 weeks i went to another primary care.

I have been a patient of this practice for over 5 years. I have always met with the physician assistant prior to encountering Dr. Gilboa this past week. The only reason I met with Dr. Gilboa was because the PA is now out on maternity leave. I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back. I have been dealing with this condition for approx 2 years. As of late it has become worse. My medical condition is on going, chronic, but not a constant meaning daily. The PA referred to the pain and discomfort I get as flare ups. Significant pain that radiates in my lower back and down the right side of my leg. I have been going to physical therapy while I wait for an appointment with the pain clinic. My PA has prescribed me 20 pills of vicodin per month for the last 5 months to help when I have an intense flare up. This recent flare up has caused me a deep aching pain that radiates down my leg and has caused my foot to go numb, pins and needles for 3 days in a row as of today. I… scheduled an appointment because I need help or direction not being able to tolerate the pain in my leg. Dr. Gilboa entered the room did not introduce himself and rudely said what is the issue. I told him I was in the ER the day before and I'm following up because I have a lot of pain in my leg and it has caused my foot to be pins and needles and has not gone away. He glanced at my chart and said you are addicted. I was in complete disbelief that this doctor was accusing me of being a drug addict. I told him I didn't appreciate the manner in which he was speaking to me. He was ignorant and treated me with no respect or dignity. He asked why I hadn't been to a back specialist. So I asked why they haven't referred me to one. Needless to say I told him how disgusted I was with his bedside manner and how unprofessional he was to suggest I was a drug addict having met him for the first time with no conversation prior to his accusation. I am a wife, mother of 3 and a business owner. I have never had a drug problem and have been taking the medications prescribed to me by his staff as directed. Needless to say I immediately switched my primary care doctor to someone that was highly reccommended. If you are looking for a primary care doctor with good bedside manner or one that will treat each patient with dignity and respect I suggest you look elsewhere and not waste your time with Dr. Gilboa.

I'm sorry but this Doctor is rude, never looked at my file so didn't have a clue why I was in his waiting room. I was in for a check up booked by the Doctor he replaced months before. Ordered tests I didn't need and cost over $600 out of my pocket, Insurance Co. wouldn't pay.
