Dr. Rabab Fatima Hashim, MD

Dr. Hashim is someone who I literally trusted with my life. Not only is she certified as a general surgeon, she also has additional certification as a colorectal surgeon. For someone diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer, I felt assured that Dr. Hashim would do her very best to help me beat this disease. She was thorough, willing to answer any and all questions I had, and seemed to genuinely care about me as a patient and a person. From my personal experience, I believe she is one of the best surgeons Kaiser has.

Dr. Hashim performed surgery on my 80-yr.-old father last week. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor. He is home and recovering well after undergoing a surgery that turned out to be less extensive than we had anticipated. Her bedside manner with my father and our family was the best. While coming out of another surgery the same day, she ran into our family in the waiting room and took the time to make sure that we were updated and had access to my father. She even came in when she was not feeling well on his last day of his stay to make sure that he got discharged on a day that was best for him. She is an expert with a very humble, matter-of-fact attitude about the life-saving work she does. She is our hero.
