Dr. Rabun Samuel Fox

I was recommended by several people to visit OPA. Rather than dismissing me within 5 minutes of seeing me, I wish he would have listened to my concerns and symptoms. Lately Doctors get paid way too much with many appointments back to back, they would rather jump straight to diagnosis rather than listen. It is very upsetting that we have to pay so much money to see a specialist, who treat us with disrespect by dismissing us. Won’t recommend him to anyone. I may still visit OPA in the future, since they are recommended by many.

I had a positive experience with my last visit with Dr. Fox. He was warm, friendly and genuine. I appreciated his patience with me while trying to make a diagnosis. He answered all of my questions and concern to my satisfaction.

Was courteous informative and helped me to make decision

Dr Fox has taken time to look at an old surgery that did not go well. His step by step approach is taking time but I am hopeful that there will be some good results. He is listening and that helps get through this process.

Dr. Fox was friendly and clear about my condition and the lack of need for further care. I respect his clear and concise reasoning.

Dr. Rabun Fox is the best in all of the state of Alaska. He's very knowledgeable & has a great bedside manner. He gives out his cell phone # to his patients. Whenever I have a question or a problem, I text him & hear back from him promptly. I have never had a doctor do this for me. I have had a total of 23 surgeries on my right ankle since 2000. My first 14 surgeries were done in Chgo. Then I moved up here. I had developed a bad infection in May 2025 & have had 9 subsequent surgeries. I've had a total of 4 infections since May. We are trying to save my foot. We think my body keeps rejecting the metal. It's all removed now & waiting for healing. Dr. Fox has consistently tried to do what's best for me. I highly recommend Dr. Rabun Fox. You can feel confident in his abilities for your ankle/foot problems.

Great experience

Dr Fox listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and proposed a treatment plan with options that were best for me and my situation.

If Dr Fox can get me to walk and drive my truck, I will be happy to be a testimony for him. He explains things where a warehouse worker can understand them, In a serious manner, with confidence, choose Rabun!

Dr. Rabun Fox was a rare find because, as I discovered, his approach to health care is patient-centered Office visits with him eliminated my fears because he empowered me with thoughtful options to consider. He sought the opinion of colleagues, discussed surgical choices that encouraged dialogue for an active role in my own care without undue pressure. His patient-centered care approach eliminated unnecessary surgery. Best of all, Dr. Fox is approachable, easy to communicate with, and has empathy for his patients. I HIGHLY recommend him.
