Dr. Rachael Schultz, MD

I really like Dr Schultz , I have been seeing her for a few years now and she has helped me with a lot of different things. I used to have bad hip pain which I thought was really going to need surgery but she figured out what was wrong and helped me through it! She gives good advice and listens to me and asks questions She is a good Doctor, I would recommend her for future visits!

Dr. Schultz is very personable, easy to talk to, listens to my concerns, and doesn't make me feel like a hypochondriac. She genuinely cares not only about my health but about all the facets and aspects of my life that can and does affect my health.

Dr. Schultz ordered sleep disorder tests that I told her did not apply to my condition after I told her several times that I did not want that type of test or that I was not interested in wearing a mask. I was not aware of the type of test until the end when I refused to wear a mask. Now I owe $4000 for tests that I did not want. Highly unethical and does not listen.

I'm a previous patient of Dr. Crew who retired a few months ago. Needed to get in to a new doctor and was having some stomach nausea and other symptoms. Rachael was able to see me this morning and she was extremely nice and asked a lot of questions and documented everything. She will be my doctor going forward. Appreciate her kindness and demeanor. Highly recommend.

I get kidney stones regularly. Dr Schultz was available to see me on the day I called and I was in immense pain due to being in the process of passing a 4mm kidney stone that had been identified with imaging months before the aforementioned appointment. At the appoint Dr. Schultz found large amounts of blood in my urine and listened to me describe the symptoms of kidney stone pain, as well as acknowledged my long history of recurring stones. She did a quick physical to rule out any obvious alternatives, but without further imaging- which I refused because I don't have $2000 or more for a CT scan- she didn't seem convinced it was a kidney stone... even though I have a history of stones and have never had any other issues with kidneys, bladder, or any other connected parts. Every doctor I have ever seen for this before her prescribed me flomax or rapaflo to help pass the stone and some sort of pain medication to ease the immensity of pain involved with passing a stone. They also… always gave me a strainer to catch the stone. What Dr. Schultz did was prescribed me ciprofloxacin, a ridiculously strong antibiotic, even though I had no infection or signs of infection. She did this while acknowledging that I had no infection saying it was preventative. Antibiotic misuse is way too common, unnecessary, and detrimental. So not only did she not give me anything to help pass the stone, or help with the pain, she unnecessarily prescribed an antibiotic as a preventative measure. I am sure she is smart, and she is very nice and attentive, but I feel her choice in treatment was nothing short of stupid. My father and uncle who are doctors both agree with me. My little sister is a nurse and she also used the word "stupid" to describe this choice of treatment. I feel like I wasted money to see a nice doctor who over prescribed antibiotics and ignores patient history.
