Dr. Rachel Lacy Anderson, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Anderson for over 10 years and missed three appointments in 7 months(was previously told 6 months is the limit), the last appointment I missed because my mom was in ICU and I received a call saying she was coding. This was so unexpected as she was at the OU Medical Center doing great, I didn't even know she had been moved until the call! Needless to say the ONLY thing on my mind was my mom and if I didn't get there asap I wouldn't get to say goodbye and she would die alone. After this heart-wrenching episode, my Mom is admitted to Home Hospice. So when I called to explain what happened and reschedule my appointment I was told I could no longer see Dr. Anderson and to further rub salt in the wound I couldn't even see ANY OTHER DOCTOR in the same building! I took my problem all the way up to the Manager and she just coldly repeated in the same monotone voice that Dr. Anderson staff sounded that "It's the policy, nothing can be done." Something could be… done, they just don't want to be human about it.

I have been her patient for several years and have only been able to see her twice. Any time I need to come in to see her, she is gone and I have to see the PA. Her PA is great, but isn't nearly as knowledgeable as Dr. Anderson, and has given me several wrong diagnoses. I am looking for a new doctor that hopefully will be more available for his/her patients.

It would be difficult to f 7ui and a physician with the integrity and values of Dr Anderson and her staff. Shes the best there is. Period.

I have always hated the doctor. Dr. Anderson has changed this. I feel cared for, and listened to. Love her!

I think she and her staff do a excellent job

The incompetence at this place is immeasurable. I had a new patient appointment scheduled that I waited months for. They left me a voicemail 2 days before my appointment advising me to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time, but when I got to my appointment I was told that I actually should have been there 30 minutes ahead of time, and that despite waiting almost 4 months and taking off work to arrive at my appointment on time, I would need to completely reschedule. I played the voicemail for them to prove that I was told 15 minutes, so instead of accepting responsibility or showing some accountability, I was told that I could stick around for "a long time" to maybe be seen when the doctor has time later. I'd be treated as a walk in. It absolutely does not take 30 minutes to fill out paperwork and everyone, including the office manager, Elizabeth Koontz, heard the voicemail that I replayed verifying that I was on time. I spent over 40 minutes arguing with the staff when I could've had… paperwork filled out and been seen by the doctor. When your office messes up, you own up to it and make it work. You don't just say "oh well, it's the patient's problem." The only logical excuse I can think of is that they over booked the time slot and since I was a new patient, they needed to make up an excuse for me to have to reschedule. I could've tried to find another doctor months ago but I wasted time for this. This is legitimately a terrible excuse for a doctor's office. I was not even offered so much as an apology for their mistakes, my time, or the rude treatment I received from staff. Dr Anderson and her nurse were made aware of the situation and made no effort to even talk to me or make it right. I was told by the clerical staff that I'm not the first person this has happened to. Needless to say, I will NOT be rescheduling as this is not the kind of treatment I'm going to actually pay for. I just wish I hadn't wasted my time. I was truly looking forward to this appointment for months after reading all the positive reviews but I just can't look past this kind of treatment.

I have seen many doctors but really needed a general practitioner. I had to wait a few months but it was really worth it! Dr. Anderson is by FAR, the BEST doctor I have ever seen. She listens thoroughly and doesn't treat you like you're taking too long or like you don't know what you're talking about. She is very articulate and at the same time very funny, witty and extremely personable ((not to mention gorgeous.)) I was at ease about three sentences into our conversation. Dr. Anderson offered to take over my thyroid condition which will save me loads of money to not see a specialist when I no longer need one and offered to be my OBGYN when I told her it had been a couple years. She didn't pressure me, just asked if I had been lately and said I could come back to her or see whomever I would like. I never felt rushed and her entire staff was super courteous and all smiling and really uplifted my day. How often does that happen when you go to the doctor?! She also asked a lot… of questions and really got to know me and my medical history. I very much appreciate that she was so wonderful that I have consolidated 4 doctors into just one. Her! I have already recommended her to two friends who promptly made appointments. I wish I'd found her years ago! Even if you have to wait a bit to get your first appointment, please do! You won't be disappointed! Also!--the checkout woman told me if I am ever sick and Dr. Anderson cannot get me in immediately, they have a wonderful new PA, whom they described as "very much like Dr. Anderson" that they said I can call and will see me! I am very impressed. I hope to keep her as my doctor as long as she is practicing. Which will be probably forever. Undoubtedly she loves her job and truly cares about the people she helps.
