I’ve been seen at this office a few times for my recently diagnosed Rosacea. However, my entire life I’ve suffered from acne, eczema, and sensitive skin. Anyone who suffers from Rosacea understands the ups and downs that come with it, the constant struggle for clear skin, the ongoing trial and error to find what works best for your skin, and the roller coaster of emotions that come with it. I’ve been on a strict regime over the last several months that wasn’t working, hence my recheck appointment today. I tried a different face wash a few days ago that I had heard helped others with their Rosacea, but it made my skin so much worse and I felt like I was starting my treatment all over again. Dr. Careccia isn’t the doctor I have been seeing, but was pulled into my appointment for a second opinion. After I told her what I had been using and it was working prior to a few days ago when tried a new soap, she actually said to me “honey, your face looks much worse than you think it does”. She… basically implied they can’t help me and “good luck”. She was very rude, not helpful, and not professional. I will not be going back to this office.

Dr. Careccia found an abnormality on by upper back that she partially removed for a biopsy. The biopsy results were a Stage 0 melanoma in situ. I have had full body exams by other doctors and nurse practitioners within the previous two years, which they obviously missed. My upper back has many freckles, therefore, it is understandable , why the other doctors missed it. However, I noticed during the exam she took her time and was very meticulous and thorough. Therefore, I can only conclude that her attention to detail and knowledge lead her to further investigate the abnormality with a biopsy . Two weeks later she removed the melanoma in situ in one hour. The procedure was painless and flawless. I was very comfortable and her pleasing demeanor and friendly personality kept me relaxed. She has excellent technique and dexterous hands as evident by the small and unnoticeable scar on my upper back. I will continue to see Dr. Careccia for my full body examinations every three… months and I will recommend her to others as well.

Dr. Careccia is not a practitioner of patient-centered care. If she performs a full body dermatology exam on you, be sure to tell her face first, then feet! NOT the other way around, as was done to me. After handling my toes and feet, she put her hands all over my face to check for abnormalities. I wonder if she bothers to wash her hands between patients.

Dr. Careccia is one of the best dermatologist I have been to. I was diagnosed with melanoma a week before I moved to Florida in 2015. I started coming to her about 6 months after I moved here. With her any new lesion on me she takes it off. Even if to her it looks benign, since my history of melanoma, it comes off. She takes no chances. I also learned that she is a dermatopathologist meaning not only does she look at skin daily, she looks at pathology slides of skin cancers, rashes, ect. That makes me trust her even more knowing that she knows what she is looking for. Her entire staff is great! Always so friendly when I go in. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a friendly. caring, compassionate doctor!

I went in for a black legion on my genital area that looked like cancer from all the info I gathered on the internet(rapid growth, a large size, uneven borders, uneven colors). Dr Rachel Careccia looked at it and told me she thought it was a mole and that I shouldn't worry about it, or to watch to see if it grows in 2-3 months. I told her I have been watching it for a year, its been growing rapidly, and I just want it removed. She said ok she couldn't remove it at that moment and I would have to come back another time, and pay another fee to get it removed and biopsied. When she gets the results in...surprise surprise its squamous cell carcinoma, and she calls me back to come in immediately rushed in priority before other patients, just to tell me treatment options which she could have told me over the phone, but instead wants to tell me in person so she can charge me another $250.....This doctor has skin cancer as her specialty in her bio. That sounds like MALPRACTICE to me if she… specializes in skin cancer and tells you to not worry about a cancerous legion, that its just a mole. I have went to other dermatologist that say: if in doubt cut it out, not her though. I also have some skin discoloration on my feet/lower legs, which she didn't know what it was and had to take pictures of it. I went to a well reviewed mohs doctor after this, she knew exactly what it was on my feet without having to google it. Don't go here unless you want to be told your cancerous legion is just a mole, and get charged for multiple visits for something that should have been handled in one visit. Worst "so called doctor" I've ever seen! Its sad when a patient knows more about skin cancer than a doctor that specializes in it, just from doing research on the internet.

Dr. Careccia is one of the kindest most knowledgeable providers I have ever seen. You can tell she really cares about her patients. She makes sure to address every concern you have in the office. I would definitely recommend her!!

Has office staff discuss biopsy results and schedule of procedure. No opportunity to talk to doctor about diagnosis, treatment options or prognosis. Office staff is rude and self important. Go somewhere else. This is just an assembly line with no real desire to treat patient as person

Great Experience with Dr. Careccia. Both my husband and I have gone to her and received excellent care.
